Built For Getting Off The Beaten Track
Designed for the long haul, the K2 Waive snowboard boot is built for those long days in the skin track. We've packed the Waive full of the best split-specific features - and it starts at the sole. Our vibration-damping Harshmellow™ material is wrapped in a full Vibram® V5 outsole - durable, lightweight, and grippy. A crampon-compatible heel stabilizer helps keep your heel aligned on the walk up and gives the descent extra security. We've modified our trademark Endo™ Construction heel counter to allow the K2 Waive Snowboard boot to have a designated walk mode. By releasing the BOA® dial, it will enable the calf panel of the boot to open, giving you the ability for a longer stride in the skin track but all the stability in the world that you need for the ride down. A traditional lace, exterior Power Strap, and lace cover keeps you secure and keeps the snow out. It goes without saying, but the magic starts from the inside, our Intuition® Pro Foam Liner with Spaceheater™ is warm, comfortable, and heat moldable. A comfortable and customizable Conda™ heel retention device keeps your foot position comfortable and removes the stress of heel lift when the terrain gets a bit spicy.
Features:
- Style: Freeride, Powder, Splitboarding
- Flex: 8/10 (Stiff)
- TRADITIONAL LACING WITH NO-SNOW LACE COVER: No wires, reels, or pulls needed. Our braided textile laces offer a tried and true feel and customizable fit. The synthetic lace cover protects traditional laces from snow, moisture, and abrasion. Waterproof zipper.
- WALK MODE POWERED BY H4 COILER BOA® FIT SYSTEM: A cable and reel based lacing system that creates even tension and easy lacing operation. This system features low friction guides for even tightening. BOA® Coiler works to automatically retract lace slack so your boots stay nice and neat.
- ARTICULATING CUFF UPPER WITH HDR PREMIUM SYNTHETICS: Durable synthetic materials are paired with articulation around the flex point of the boots to shell distortion, retain shape, and eliminate heel lift
- ENDO™ 2.0 HEEL COUNTER: An injected heel counter offers us the ability to provide a lighter weight snowboard boot with more precise rebound, and a longer life-cycle.
- Power Strap: The K2 Power strap, keeping the top of the boot firmly closed while in use and maximizing power transfer to the snowboard. Better fit equals better performance.
- Reinforced Rubber Toe Cap: Abrasion-resistant reinforced rubber is placed in areas of high stress to extend the boot's life and increase durability.
- INTUITION® PRO FOAM 3D LINER WITH SPACEHEATER™: Our most supportive liner, featuring a high-density Intuition® foam for added support and lined with breathable heat-reflective SpaceHeater™ technology for superior warmth and comfort.
- INTERNAL & EXTERNAL J-BARS WITH CORED ANKLE POCKETS: Adding J-Bars to a liner helps add structure and reduce heel lift, while coring liners out around the ankle bones reduces pressure points in sensitive regions.
- S’CAFE™ COFFEE MESH: A post-consumer recycled coffee ground mesh liner layer that controls odor and absorbs moisture.
- HARSHMELLOW™ PRO INSOLE: Harshmellow™ is a magical dampening system strategically placed to provide a more “quiet” feel underfoot, reduce vibration from impact, and reduce fatigue while snowboarding.
- VIBRAM® V5 RUBBER OUTSOLE: Our most premium rubber compound provides industry leading durability and grip and integrated with Harshmellow™ foam to absorb chatter and vibration.

About Snowboard Boots — Buying Guide
Snowboard boots are the most important part of your setup. They connect you to your board, affect your control, comfort, warmth and how much energy you burn across a full day on the hill. Getting the fit right is everything — a boot that fits correctly makes riding easier from your first run. A boot that doesn't will ruin your day regardless of how good the board underneath it is. At Twelve Board Store we fit hundreds of riders every season across brands including Vans, Burton, K2, Ride, ThirtyTwo and DC. Every boot in our range has been ridden and assessed by our team. We only stock boots we'd recommend to our own crew.
Getting your size right online: Measure your foot in centimetres while standing with full weight — this is your Mondo size, the most accurate way to find your boot size. Snowboard boots use US sizing. 25cm = US7, 26cm = US8, 27cm = US9, 28cm = US10, 29cm = US11, 30cm = US12. Boots should feel snug straight out of the box — toes grazing the end when standing, lifting slightly when knees bend forward. A boot that feels comfortable in your lounge room is too big for the mountain.
Volume matters as much as length: Low volume boots suit narrow, low-arch feet. High volume suits wide feet or high arches. Getting volume wrong causes pressure and pain regardless of length. If you're between sizes or have a wide foot, contact us before you buy — we'll point you to the right boot.
Flex rating: Soft (1–4) for beginners, park riders and those who want a surfy, forgiving feel. Medium (5–7) for all-mountain versatility. Stiff (8–10) for aggressive freeride, carving and riders who want direct response and maximum support.
Closure systems: Traditional lace is still the most popular — micro-adjustable, direct feel, lower price point. BOA® dial gives you one-hand precision tightening with gloves on, fast on/off between runs. Hybrid BOA combines lace at the foot with a dial at the instep for zone-by-zone control. Speed lace is faster than traditional lace and lighter than BOA.
Wrong size? We'll swap it. Not sure? Call us on 03 9421 2293 or chat online — our team will give you a straight answer based on your foot shape, riding style and where you're planning to ride. If you're in Melbourne, come in and try them on at 435A Bridge Road Richmond. We heat mould liners in-store — no appointment needed.
