Street or all-terrain wheels?

The Evolve party trick is swappable wheels. Street wheels are smooth, fast and efficient on tarmac and bike paths, and give the best range. All-terrain wheels are larger and treaded for gravel, grass, dirt and rough ground, trading some range and top speed for go-anywhere capability and comfort. With an Evolve you can run both and switch based on the day — no other major brand does versatility this well.

How do you choose, and what do the specs mean?

• Motor power and torque — decides hill performance. Evolve climbs inclines that stop lesser boards, which matters in Melbourne.
