K2 Bond Snowboard Binding 2027 | Neon
Neon K2 Bond 2027: A Bright, Playful Binding for Park Rats and Side-Hit Hunters.
If you like your snowboard setup loud, the Neon K2 Bond is the one to grab. Underneath the colour it's K2's 2027 freestyle snowboard binding, shaped with input from team riders Gabe Ferguson, Parker Szumowski and Antti Jussila, and rated 7/10 on K2's playful to precise flex scale.
It feels free and lively on the hill. The Module Chassis keeps your board's flex alive underneath you, and the Team Highback is softer, so you can twist into tweaks and presses without the binding fighting back. The GT1 ankle strap adapts to just about any boot shape, the Wrap Toe Strap works over the forefoot or on the toe cap, and aluminium ratchets keep strapping in quick. The Neon colourway pairs orange and lime, perfect if you want to be easy to spot in the park.
The Tech and What It Does on the Hill
✅ Module Chassis: keeps the board's natural flex alive underfoot, so presses and butters feel loose and predictable
✅ MultiMount ankle strap positioning: move the strap to suit your boot and how you like it to sit
✅ Team Highback: a softer highback that lets you twist and tweak, with enough backbone to stand on a heelside turn
✅ GT1 Ankle Strap: shapes itself around different boots and moves with you instead of locking you rigid
✅ Wrap Toe Strap (TPU): wear it over the forefoot or pull it up onto the toe cap, whichever holds you better
✅ This Grips! basepad: K2's rubber compound that soaks up vibration and takes load off your joints on hard landings
✅ Sugarcane EVA footbed with Harshmellow pods: grip and cushioning underfoot when you case a jump or land flat
✅ Aluminium fixed-pivot ratchets: positive clicks and a quick release at the top of the run
✅ Toolless forward lean 0° to 7° plus a forward lean block: change your setup on the hill without hunting for a screwdriver
Best for: intermediate to expert riders who spend their days in the park, jibbing, hitting side hits and riding the whole mountain with a freestyle mindset, and want a snowboard binding that lets them move.
Built for Australian Conditions
Australian parks are built on firm snow that softens fast. At Buller, the morning jump line can be rock hard, and by early afternoon the spring sun turns it to slush; at Perisher and Thredbo you'll also ride refrozen chop on the way back to the lift. The Bond's This Grips! basepad and Harshmellow pods help absorb the hard landings, while the softer flex keeps you relaxed when it gets sloppy. Heading to Japan or Canada? Expect it to be at home in the trees and side hits.
Setup Tips from the Shop
For park riding, start with the forward lean low or at zero and add a little at a time if you want more heelside response. Set the heelcup so your boot sits centred over the board, with toe and heel overhang roughly even; it adjusts with a #3 Phillips head screwdriver. Slide the ankle strap through the MultiMount positions until the padding sits square across your ankle, then decide whether the toe strap works best over the top or as a toe cap with your boots. We'll mount and set them up free when you buy in store.
Not for you if: your idea of a good day is high-speed carving and freeride lines rather than park laps and side hits. Browse our men's snowboard bindings and use the filters to find a stiffer, more precise binding in your size.

FAQs
K2 Bond sizing: Medium or Large?
K2's chart puts US Men's 6 to 10 in the Medium and US Men's 10 to 15 in the Large. US 10 sits on the line, so bring your boots in to 435A Bridge Rd Richmond or call 03 9421 2293. Our binding size charts help too.
What colours are on the Neon K2 Bond?
The Neon colourway is a bright orange and lime combination. If you want your bindings to stand out on the hill or in photos, this is the one.
Is the K2 Bond soft enough for jibbing?
K2 rates it 7/10 on its flex scale, and the soft Team Highback plus the flexible GT1 ankle strap make it feel playful for jibs, presses and butters while still giving support for the rest of the mountain.
What is the This Grips! basepad on the K2 Bond?
It's K2's own rubber compound under the footbed. It damps vibration and reduces the impact through your joints, which helps on hard landings and chattery runs.
Will the K2 Bond suit my board's inserts?
The Bond comes with K2's Multi-Compatible Disc. Send us your board model and we'll confirm the mount before you buy.
About K2
K2 started in Washington State in 1962 and has been a fixture of American snowboarding ever since, with a freeride streak running through the whole range. Their bindings are some of the best-engineered on our wall, and they're putting in the work on sustainability too: K2 says 39% of the electricity used to make its bindings comes from solar, and the bindings ship in fully recyclable boxes made from 95% FSC-certified recycled material instead of plastic.

Why Buy from Twelve Board Store
Twelve Board Store has been riders selling to riders since 2013. We are not a generic retail chain — we are a specialist board sports retailer built around genuine product knowledge, real rider experience and the kind of after-sales support that only comes from a team that actually uses the gear they sell.
Every brand we stock, we ride. Every recommendation we make comes from real experience — on the mountain, in the park, on the street, and on the road. When you call us, you talk to someone who has been on a snowboard at Hotham last weekend or a skateboard in the carpark this morning. That is the difference between buying from Twelve and buying from a warehouse with a website.
We offer services that no online-only retailer can match. Our in-store workshop handles snowboard waxing and tuning, boot heat moulding, electric skateboard and e-bike repairs and assembly, and warranty support handled in-house rather than shipped offshore to a call centre. If something goes wrong with your gear, we fix it. If your boots don't fit, we sort it. If you ordered the wrong size, we swap it — no questions asked.
Our showroom at 435A Bridge Road Richmond stocks the full range across snowboards, bindings, boots, skateboards, longboards, electric skateboards, e-bikes, outerwear and accessories. We offer free shipping Australia-wide on orders over $89, AfterPay and Zip for flexible payment, and fast dispatch so your gear arrives when you need it.
