K2 Edition Snowboard Binding 2027 | Black
K2 Edition 2027 in Black: The All-Mountain Binding Ready for Anything.
The K2 Edition is the binding we recommend to riders who don't want to choose between park and the rest of the mountain. It's K2's 2027 all-mountain snowboard binding for intermediate to expert riders, rated 6/10 on K2's playful to precise flex scale, and it carries some of the most versatile parts in K2's binding range.
On snow the Edition feels balanced. The AM1 highback is asymmetrically shaped with a mid flex, so it supports heelside turns but still lets you tweak. The SD1 ankle strap is light and blends flex with response, the BetterWrap toe strap hugs any boot, and the This Grips! basepad and Harshmellow pods smooth out the chatter. The Module Chassis keeps your board flexing naturally underfoot. The Black colourway is clean, understated and easy to match with any setup.
The Tech and What It Does on the Hill
✅ Module Chassis: keeps your board's natural flex underfoot, with MultiMount ankle strap positions to fine-tune the fit
✅ AM1 Highback: lightweight and asymmetrically shaped, with a predictable mid flex that's easy to ride all day
✅ SD1 Ankle Strap: a lightweight strap that balances flex for tweaking with response for edge control
✅ BetterWrap Toe Strap: dual density and made with castor-bean based materials, it shapes to any boot toe
✅ This Grips! basepad: K2's own rubber compound that damps vibration and reduces impact on your joints
✅ Sugarcane EVA footbed with Harshmellow pods: extra cushioning for flat landings and chattery runs
✅ Aluminium ratchets: smooth, reliable strapping in and out
✅ Toolless forward lean 0° to 7° plus a forward lean block: add response for carving or back it off for park laps, no tools needed
Best for: intermediate to expert riders who want one versatile snowboard binding for groomers, side hits, park laps and the odd powder day.
Built for Australian Conditions
Australian conditions reward a versatile binding. You might start on icy corduroy at Thredbo, take a few park laps at Perisher when the sun softens things, then ride refrozen chop down the last run. The Edition's mid flex holds an edge when it's firm and stays forgiving in slush, and its damping keeps your legs fresh. For a Japan or Canada trip, it handles powder and trees without needing a separate setup.
Setup Tips from the Shop
Start with the forward lean around the middle of the range: back it off for park days, add some for carving on firm snow. Centre the heelcup so your boot overhang is even toe and heel; it sets with a single tool. Use the MultiMount positions to get the SD1 ankle strap sitting square across the boot, and check the BetterWrap toe strap hugs the toe without pinching. We'll mount and set them up free when you buy in store.
Not for you if: you want a very stiff, precise binding for high-speed freeriding, or a super soft jib binding. Browse our men's snowboard bindings and use the filters to find the flex you're after in your size.

FAQs
What size K2 Edition binding do I need?
K2's chart lists the Medium for US Men's 6 to 10 and the Large for US Men's 10 to 15. If you're a US 10, you're on the line, so bring your boots to 435A Bridge Rd Richmond or call us on 03 9421 2293. Our binding size charts cover every brand we stock.
How stiff is the K2 Edition?

Is the K2 Edition good for all-mountain riding?
Yes, that's its job. K2 builds the Edition for riding the whole mountain, from groomers to park laps to powder, for intermediate to expert riders.
Will the K2 Edition fit my board?
The Edition runs K2's Multi-Compatible Disc on the Module Chassis. Send us your board model and we'll confirm before you buy.

Why Buy from Twelve Board Store
Twelve Board Store has been riders selling to riders since 2013. We are not a generic retail chain — we are a specialist board sports retailer built around genuine product knowledge, real rider experience and the kind of after-sales support that only comes from a team that actually uses the gear they sell.
Every brand we stock, we ride. Every recommendation we make comes from real experience — on the mountain, in the park, on the street, and on the road. When you call us, you talk to someone who has been on a snowboard at Hotham last weekend or a skateboard in the carpark this morning. That is the difference between buying from Twelve and buying from a warehouse with a website.
We offer services that no online-only retailer can match. Our in-store workshop handles snowboard waxing and tuning, boot heat moulding, electric skateboard and e-bike repairs and assembly, and warranty support handled in-house rather than shipped offshore to a call centre. If something goes wrong with your gear, we fix it. If your boots don't fit, we sort it. If you ordered the wrong size, we swap it — no questions asked.
Our showroom at 435A Bridge Road Richmond stocks the full range across snowboards, bindings, boots, skateboards, longboards, electric skateboards, e-bikes, outerwear and accessories. We offer free shipping Australia-wide on orders over $89, AfterPay and Zip for flexible payment, and fast dispatch so your gear arrives when you need it.
