The Fatboy Story

How to Choose Your Fatboy
- Intended use: commuting and on-road vs off-road and private-land fun — this drives which model and power level suits you (and its legal status).

- Battery & range: bigger battery, more range; claimed figures are best-case, so expect less with hills, rider weight and throttle use.
- Brakes & suspension: hydraulic disc brakes and suspension where fitted add stopping power and comfort on a heavier, faster bike.
Australian Road Rules
In Australia an e-bike is only road-legal as a bicycle if it meets specific power and control limits (generally 250W, pedal-assist). The Fatboy range includes road-legal-compliant models as well as higher-powered models intended for off-road and private-land use. Battery Care & Safety
