The right fit is snug but never painful. The front should sit roughly two fingers above your eyebrows, with no rocking when you shake your head. A helmet that moves on your head, digs into your forehead, or sits too far back is not protecting you properly. Come into our Melbourne store and we will fit you in five minutes.
MIPS stands for Multi-directional Impact Protection System. It adds a low-friction layer inside the shell that reduces rotational force on the brain during angled impacts, which are the most common type in snow sports. Most of our Anon and Giro range includes MIPS options, and we stock both MIPS and standard models.
Your goggle needs to pair with your helmet for no-gap coverage across the nose bridge. Anon's MFI magnetic goggle system integrates seamlessly with Anon helmets, and Oakley and Giro pair well together. We can match you up in store or point you to compatible options online.
Fixed vents are simple and light, while adjustable vent systems let you dial airflow on the fly. Adjustable venting is useful on variable Australian mountain days where the morning is cold and midday is sweating weather.
