EN15194 is the EPAC standard that Australian states recognise for legal electric bike use on public roads, shared paths and bike lanes. Every bike in this collection is configured to that standard — 250W continuous-rated motor, pedal-assist only, 25km/h maximum assisted speed.
In practical terms: these bikes are treated the same as a regular bicycle under Victorian road rules. Ride them on the Capital City Trail, the Bay Trail, the Yarra Trail, bike lanes and public roads without restriction.
The 25km/h assist limit is enough for real Melbourne commuting. Add the motor assist on a flat path and a fit rider cruises comfortably within that window. On hills it makes the difference between arriving to work sweating and arriving fresh.
Demo bikes available at our Richmond showroom. All bikes fully assembled and safety-checked before dispatch. Frosty's workshop handles servicing and warranty support in-store.
