Giro Emerge MIPS Snowboard Helmet | White

Giro Emerge MIPS Snowboard Helmet | White

Low-profile freestyle lid with MIPS Spherical inside.

The Giro Emerge MIPS is a low-profile freestyle helmet built for park laps, pipe and spring jump sessions. Giro now calls it the Emerge Spherical, after the MIPS Spherical system inside. This one comes in clean White, for riders who want a slim, tidy look under the hood.

Inside, the Emerge uses two layers of dual-density EPP foam. MIPS Spherical works like a ball and socket: the outer liner can rotate around the inner liner in an angled impact, helping redirect rotational forces away from the brain. It's designed to pair with Giro goggles for a clean seal at the forehead.

Size Guide

Wrap a soft tape around your head about 2cm above your eyebrows, over the widest point at the back. Measure twice and use the bigger number. Giro says the helmet should fit with a little room when the fit system is loose. If you're between sizes, try both and pick the one that sits level and snug without pressure points once dialled in.

Giro offers the Emerge in S, M and L. Low-profile freestyle helmets sit closer to the head, so try it with your usual beanie-free setup and goggles.

About Giro

Jim Gentes founded Giro in 1985 near Santa Cruz, California, and his Prolight bike helmet (1986) set a new bar for light weight and ventilation. Four years later Greg LeMond won the 1989 Tour de France by eight seconds wearing Giro's Aerohead. The brand took that thinking to the mountain with the vented Nine snow helmet in 1999, and goggles followed in the early 2000s.

Today Giro is known for helmets and goggles designed together, so the fit at your forehead is clean and the Stack Vent pulls warm air off your lens. From the kids' Crue to the freeride Jackson, riders choose Giro for fit systems that actually work with gloves on and MIPS across the range.

FAQs

What certifications does the Giro Emerge MIPS have?
The Emerge MIPS is certified to CE EN 1077, the European standard for ski and snowboard helmets. It's a snow helmet only; Giro does not list a bike or skate certification for it.

What size Giro Emerge MIPS should I get?
Measure around your head about 2cm above your eyebrows and match it to the chart: S 52–55.5cm, M 55.5–59cm, L 59–62.5cm. If you're between sizes, try both and pick the one that sits level and snug without pressure points.

What is MIPS Spherical?
MIPS Spherical uses two foam liners that can rotate against each other like a ball and socket. In an angled impact that movement helps redirect rotational forces away from the brain. It's built into the liner, so you don't see or feel it when riding.

When should I replace my helmet?
Replace it after any significant impact, even if it looks fine. EPP foam handles smaller knocks better than EPS, but a big crash can still compromise it. Also replace it if the foam is cracked or dented or the straps and buckle are worn.
