The FR555X Street Legal is the EN15194 certified build of FlightRisk's all-rounder — pedal assist capped at 25km/h, legal on public roads and bike paths, no licence and no registration. Same frame as the off-road version. Same DNM suspension front and rear. Same four-piston Tektro hydraulics, same 48V 25Ah Samsung battery, same FR Escape App with live 4G tracking. What changes is the motor and the fact you can legally ride it to work.

Most road-legal fat tyre e-bikes feel like a compromise, because they are: the chassis gets built down to meet the power limit. This one is the opposite. It is the flagship Series VI platform — full suspension, serious brakes, 180kg capacity — restricted at the motor instead of in the engineering.
