The Powell Peralta Story

Founded in 1978 by engineer George Powell and pro skater Stacy Peralta, Powell Peralta became the defining brand of skateboarding's 1980s explosion. The Bones Brigade — Tony Hawk, Rodney Mullen, Steve Caballero, Lance Mountain, Tommy Guerrero and more — was the most stacked team in skate history, and the brand's videos and graphics (Vernon Courtlandt Johnson's skull-and-sword artwork, the Ripper) shaped the entire visual language of skating. Still independently run and still making product the right way, Powell carries more genuine heritage than almost any brand in the game.
