A smaller, firmer Primo in SSF Pro.
The yellow 66mm Primo in 82a is a compact, firmer soft wheel. It's for riders who want a cruiser or longboard with a firmer, more connected feel, and it fits more boards than a 69mm wheel.
Powell pours the 66mm Primos in SSF Pro, the same urethane as its Snakes and G-Slides. At 66 x 46mm with a 38mm contact patch it spins up quickly, gives more road feel than a 75a and adds extra urethane depth for long wear.

About Powell Peralta
Powell Peralta was founded in 1978 by engineer George Powell and skater Stacy Peralta in Santa Barbara, California. Powell had already been baking his own urethane wheels and building his own boards since the mid 1970s, and in 1979 the pair formed the Bones Brigade, the team that included Ray "Bones" Rodriguez, Steve Caballero, Tony Hawk, Lance Mountain, Rodney Mullen, Tommy Guerrero and Mike Vallely.
Today Powell Peralta still puts a big focus on urethane research and its own wheel formulas. Dragon Formula covers street and park, while Soft Slide Formula (SSF) covers cruising, freeride and downhill. Riders pick Powell because the wheels last, roll fast and slide when you want them to, and because the brand has been part of skating for close to five decades.
FAQs
What are Primo wheels best for?
Cruising and upgrading a complete. Primos carry extra urethane depth so they ride soft and last, but they're poured in Powell's freeride and downhill formulas, so they still slide well.
What does 82a mean?
82a is the hardness on the A scale. It's the firmest Primo here, giving a grippier, more connected feel on the road, while still being much softer and smoother than a 99a street wheel.
Will 66mm wheels fit my board or do I need risers?
Most cruisers and longboards take 66mm wheels. On a top-mount board without wheel wells, a 1/4" riser usually stops wheel bite. Drop-through boards normally need nothing.
Do they come with bearings?
No. You get a set of 4 wheels with no bearings. Any standard 608 skateboard bearing fits, so you'll need a set of 8 (two per wheel), plus spacers if your bearings don't have them built in.
