These Burton base layer pants are the best! Super comfy and a good fit.

I absolutely love the bike and use it nearly everyday.
I’m 67 years old but it’s a bit like going back to having dirt bikes in the mid seventies! Also 12 boards was easy to deal with. A great shop.

Adding another to my collection, best layer for 1st or 2nd layer.

Nitro Venture BOA Men's Snowboard Boot | Black | 2026

Dialled In. All Mountain. All Day.

The Nitro Venture BOA is the boot for riders who want to explore every part of the mountain without overthinking their gear. It's built around a clean, skate-influenced aesthetic and an all-terrain flex that suits intermediate through to advanced riders pushing their limits across groomers, off-piste terrain, natural features, and the occasional park lap. The 7/10 flex sits in the medium-to-stiff range — responsive enough to drive turns with authority and hold up on firmer Australian resort snow, comfortable enough to wear all day without fatigue. This is the boot that disappears on your foot and lets you just ride.

The Dual BOA® Fit System runs two independent dials — a lower zone using the M+2 platform for even foothold across the foot, and an upper zone with the H4 Coiler on the tongue that takes up lace slack fast for quick, precise entry and a locked-in cuff feel. Two dials means you can tune the upper and lower zones independently — dial the foot down tight and leave the upper slightly looser for forward flex, or lock both zones for maximum response on firmer snow. The ILS Internal Lacing System ties the whole fit together: a lacing harness connects directly to the boot shell and wraps the liner, locking it in place against the shell so it can't migrate or bunch during the day. Dyneema® lace core keeps friction low and strength high. BOA dials are guaranteed for the lifetime of the boot.

The Cloud 6 Liner is Nitro's most versatile liner — Pre-Molded Thermacell gives you an out-of-the-box fit that feels broken-in from run one, while full heat-mouldability means you can dial it further to your exact foot shape. The 3D Heel Construction builds a custom heel pocket directly into the liner structure for positive lockdown without pressure points, and Latex Memory Pads at the ankle hold their shape and padding over a full season of riding. The Response ExoFrame adds targeted structure around the liner where you need support without restricting natural flex. Flex Toe construction uses a pliable material at the toe box, giving your toes room to move naturally — warmer feet and better feel underfoot. The Ortholite® High Cup Footbed delivers high-rebound cushioning and anti-microbial moisture management that holds up across a full season. Underfoot: an EVA outsole keeps weight down and absorbs impact, with strategically placed Rubber Impact Panels — up to 30% recycled rubber — for traction and durability in the high-wear zones.

Why Ride the Nitro Venture BOA?
✅ Dual BOA® Fit System (M+2 + H4 Coiler) — Two independent dials for zone-specific control; lock in the foot and cuff separately for a truly customised fit, and adjust on the fly with gloves on
✅ H4 Coiler Tongue Dial — High-capacity upper zone dial takes up lace slack fast for rapid, precise entry every run
✅ ILS Internal Lacing System — Dyneema®-cored harness locks the liner to the shell, eliminating heel migration and liner bunching throughout the day
✅ Cloud 6 Liner — Pre-Molded Thermacell gives a dialled out-of-the-box fit; heat-mouldable for a fully custom foothold
✅ 3D Heel Construction — Custom-built heel pocket in the liner structure for positive lockdown without pressure points
✅ Latex Memory Pads — Nitro's signature ankle support pads hold their shape and cushioning all season for consistent comfort and hold
✅ Response ExoFrame — External liner frame adds targeted structure and precision where you need it, without stiffening natural flex
✅ Re/Lace Liner Locker — Pull the lace handle to retighten your liner at any point during the day without removing or loosening the outer shell
✅ Flex Toe — Pliable toe box lets your toes move naturally; better feel, less restriction, warmer feet
✅ Ortholite® High Cup Footbed — High-rebound open-cell foam with anti-microbial, moisture-wicking properties that maintain performance across a full season
✅ EVA Outsole + Rubber Impact Panels — Lightweight EVA base for cushioning and thermal insulation; rubber reinforcements (up to 30% recycled) in high-wear traction zones
✅ Zero PVC / 6P Phthalate-free — Plastic-free packaging, recycled rubber where possible; Nitro's commitment to reducing material impact

Frequently Asked Questions

What size should I order?
The Nitro Venture BOA runs true to size — order your standard US shoe size. Nitro sizes in Mondopoint (your foot length in mm), which maps directly to standard US sizing: a US 9 is Mondo 270, US 10 is Mondo 280, and so on. Snowboard boots should feel snug straight out of the box — toes lightly grazing the front of the liner when standing upright, heel locked down with minimal lift. That's not too small, that's correct. When you bend your knees into a riding stance, your heel drops, toes pull back slightly, and the boot wraps your foot properly. If you're between sizes, use the half sizes — they exist for a reason. Our full boot fit guide is at twelveboardstore.com.au/pages/snowboard-boots-how-to-choose-and-fit-guide — it walks you through exactly how to measure and check fit at home. Or call us on 03 9421 2293 and we'll sort it in minutes.

Do you offer professional boot fitting and heat moulding?
Yes — and it's free when you buy your boots from us. If you're in Melbourne, come into the store at 435A Bridge Rd Richmond and our staff will fit you properly: measuring your foot, checking shell fit before the liner goes in, and heat moulding your Cloud 6 liner to your exact foot shape on the spot. A moulded liner eliminates pressure points, improves heel hold, and means the boot is dialled from run one rather than after a week of break-in. If you're not in Melbourne, we can walk you through the at-home heat moulding process over the phone or by message — the Cloud 6's Thermacell material responds well to home moulding and the process is straightforward.

What if I get the wrong size or the fit isn't right?
Reach out before you do anything else — call us on 03 9421 2293, send a message through the contact page, or email info@twelveboardstore.com.au. Nine times out of ten a fit issue can be solved without a return, whether that's a BOA tension adjustment, liner lacing tweak, or heat mould. If the boot genuinely isn't right for your foot, we'll swap it. Boots must be unworn outside — lodge floors and carpet only — and in original condition.

How does the Venture BOA compare to the Venture Pro, and is it worth stepping up?
The Venture and Venture Pro share the same last, shell design, and Cloud 6 liner — the fundamental fit and flex character is the same boot. Where the Pro steps up is the outsole and lacing system: the Venture Pro runs a Vibram® ECOSTEP™ outsole instead of the EVA/rubber panel setup, which gives meaningfully better grip and durability underfoot, particularly in wet snow and hard-packed lift lines. The Pro also uses Nitro's TLS lacing system with 45° Lacegliders for faster lacing. If you ride frequently and put serious mileage on your gear, the Vibram outsole on the Pro is a genuine upgrade. If you're a weekend warrior or newer to snowboarding, the Venture BOA is the right buy — same fit, same feel, lower price, and the EVA outsole is perfectly adequate for regular resort use.

About Nitro
Nitro Snowboards was founded in 1990 by snowboarders, for snowboarders — originally in Seattle, now headquartered in Hünenberg, Switzerland. From the beginning, Nitro built their boots from the inside out, prioritising fit and liner technology over shell flash, and that philosophy still drives every product they make. The Venture is one of Nitro's most enduring boot lines — continuously refined over more than a decade based on real rider feedback and team testing. Nitro's sustainability commitments include eliminating PVC and harmful plasticisers across their product range, using recycled rubber in outsoles, and plastic-free packaging — small steps that add up across the volume of boots they produce each year.

About Snowboard Boots — Buying Guide

Snowboard boots are the most important part of your setup. They connect you to your board, affect your control, comfort, warmth and how much energy you burn across a full day on the hill. Getting the fit right is everything — a boot that fits correctly makes riding easier from your first run. A boot that doesn't will ruin your day regardless of how good the board underneath it is. At Twelve Board Store we fit hundreds of riders every season across brands including Vans, Burton, K2, Ride, ThirtyTwo and DC. Every boot in our range has been ridden and assessed by our team. We only stock boots we'd recommend to our own crew.

Getting your size right online: Measure your foot in centimetres while standing with full weight — this is your Mondo size, the most accurate way to find your boot size. Snowboard boots use US sizing. 25cm = US7, 26cm = US8, 27cm = US9, 28cm = US10, 29cm = US11, 30cm = US12. Boots should feel snug straight out of the box — toes grazing the end when standing, lifting slightly when knees bend forward. A boot that feels comfortable in your lounge room is too big for the mountain.

Volume matters as much as length: Low volume boots suit narrow, low-arch feet. High volume suits wide feet or high arches. Getting volume wrong causes pressure and pain regardless of length. If you're between sizes or have a wide foot, contact us before you buy — we'll point you to the right boot.

Flex rating: Soft (1–4) for beginners, park riders and those who want a surfy, forgiving feel. Medium (5–7) for all-mountain versatility. Stiff (8–10) for aggressive freeride, carving and riders who want direct response and maximum support.

Closure systems: Traditional lace is still the most popular — micro-adjustable, direct feel, lower price point. BOA® dial gives you one-hand precision tightening with gloves on, fast on/off between runs. Hybrid BOA combines lace at the foot with a dial at the instep for zone-by-zone control. Speed lace is faster than traditional lace and lighter than BOA.

Wrong size? We'll swap it. Not sure? Call us on 03 9421 2293 or chat online — our team will give you a straight answer based on your foot shape, riding style and where you're planning to ride. If you're in Melbourne, come in and try them on at 435A Bridge Road Richmond. We heat mould liners in-store — no appointment needed.
