Joey's Custom Footbeds
Built for Comfort. Shaped to You.
Joey's Custom Footbeds are custom-mouldable insoles designed to maximise support and comfort inside ski and snowboard boots. If you've ever dealt with foot cramps, heel pain, arch discomfort, or bone spur pain on the mountain, a proper footbed is the most overlooked fix — and Joey's are built specifically to address all of it. Engineered to enhance balance, reduce fatigue, and improve shock absorption, they're the kind of upgrade that makes every run more enjoyable and keeps you on the mountain longer.
The fit process is straightforward: heat-mould the footbeds to your unique foot shape, trim to fit your boot size, and you're done. The trim-to-fit design eliminates slippage and pressure points, while Netsu 3D technology improves durability and breathability to keep your feet warm and comfortable through a full day of riding. A deep heel cup locks the foot in place, a thermal layer and foil forefoot retain heat where you need it most, and a high-impact foam layer with stabiliser cap handles shock absorption and support underfoot. An organic odour-control coating keeps things fresh across the season.
Why Ride Joey's Custom Footbeds?

✅ Trim to Fit — Trims down to suit any boot size; eliminates slippage and pressure points for an exact fit
✅ Netsu 3D Technology — Improves durability and breathability; keeps feet warmer and more comfortable through a full day on the mountain
✅ Deep Heel Cup — Locks the heel in position, reducing fatigue and improving control through turns
✅ Thermal Layer & Foil Forefoot — Retains heat at the toe and forefoot; keeps circulation moving in cold conditions
✅ High-Impact Foam & Stabiliser Cap — Absorbs shock underfoot and provides structural support across the full length of the footbed
✅ Organic Odour-Control Coating — Keeps boots fresh across the season without chemicals
Frequently Asked Questions:
How do I mould Joey's Footbeds to my feet?
The moulding process is done at home or in-store using heat — warm the footbeds as directed, place them in your boots, step in, and let them set to your foot shape. The result is a footbed that matches your arch, heel, and forefoot profile exactly. If you'd like help with the moulding process, come into the store and we'll walk you through it.
What size do I need?
Joey's Footbeds are trim-to-fit, meaning they come in a range that covers your size and you trim them down to match your boot exactly. Check the sizing guide on the packaging, trim conservatively, and test the fit before your first session.
Will they fit in any snowboard boot?
Yes — Joey's Footbeds are designed to fit standard ski and snowboard boots. The trim-to-fit design means they'll work across most boot lasts and liner configurations.

About Snowboard Boots — Buying Guide
Snowboard boots are the most important part of your setup. They connect you to your board, affect your control, comfort, warmth and how much energy you burn across a full day on the hill. Getting the fit right is everything — a boot that fits correctly makes riding easier from your first run. A boot that doesn't will ruin your day regardless of how good the board underneath it is. At Twelve Board Store we fit hundreds of riders every season across brands including Vans, Burton, K2, Ride, ThirtyTwo and DC. Every boot in our range has been ridden and assessed by our team. We only stock boots we'd recommend to our own crew.
Getting your size right online: Measure your foot in centimetres while standing with full weight — this is your Mondo size, the most accurate way to find your boot size. Snowboard boots use US sizing. 25cm = US7, 26cm = US8, 27cm = US9, 28cm = US10, 29cm = US11, 30cm = US12. Boots should feel snug straight out of the box — toes grazing the end when standing, lifting slightly when knees bend forward. A boot that feels comfortable in your lounge room is too big for the mountain.
Volume matters as much as length: Low volume boots suit narrow, low-arch feet. High volume suits wide feet or high arches. Getting volume wrong causes pressure and pain regardless of length. If you're between sizes or have a wide foot, contact us before you buy — we'll point you to the right boot.
Flex rating: Soft (1–4) for beginners, park riders and those who want a surfy, forgiving feel. Medium (5–7) for all-mountain versatility. Stiff (8–10) for aggressive freeride, carving and riders who want direct response and maximum support.
Closure systems: Traditional lace is still the most popular — micro-adjustable, direct feel, lower price point. BOA® dial gives you one-hand precision tightening with gloves on, fast on/off between runs. Hybrid BOA combines lace at the foot with a dial at the instep for zone-by-zone control. Speed lace is faster than traditional lace and lighter than BOA.
Wrong size? We'll swap it. Not sure? Call us on 03 9421 2293 or chat online — our team will give you a straight answer based on your foot shape, riding style and where you're planning to ride. If you're in Melbourne, come in and try them on at 435A Bridge Road Richmond. We heat mould liners in-store — no appointment needed.
