ThirtyTwo Jones MTB Lite Men's Snowboard Boot 2027 | Black/Black/Gum
Jeremy Jones' Splitboard Boot, Stripped Down for the Climb.
The ThirtyTwo Jones MTB Lite Men's Snowboard Boot 2027 is a stiff, lace up touring boot designed with Jeremy Jones for splitboard missions. ThirtyTwo rates it 10 out of 10 on flex, pairs a Performance XLT liner with a carbon shank and a dual density midsole, and adds a quick release walk mode buckle for the skin track.
Underfoot, a Michelin Fiberlite outsole bites on icy bootpacks and rocky ridgelines, and a zippered storm flap keeps the 32 Easy Lace loops buried away from deep snow. This is the Black/Black/Gum colourway: classic, low key and built to get beaten up in the backcountry.
Best for: experienced splitboarders and freeriders who want a stiff, precise, lightweight lace boot with a proper walk mode.
The Tech and What It Does in the Backcountry
✅ Designed with Jeremy Jones: built for splitboard missions, so the boot is set up for the skin track as much as the descent
✅ Performance XLT liner: ThirtyTwo's improved fit liner for the MTB Lite, giving a supportive, locked feel on long days. Like every ThirtyTwo liner it is heat mouldable, and we mould it free in store
✅ 32 Easy Lace loops: traditional laces you can tension zone by zone, so you set the fit exactly where your foot needs it
✅ Quick release walk mode buckle: flip it open for a freer stride on the climb, lock it down when it's time to ride
✅ Zippered storm flap: covers the lacing to keep snow out on deep skin tracks and bootpacks
✅ Michelin Fiberlite outsole: grip on rock, ice and the scramble to the summit
✅ Dual density midsole: cushioning underfoot paired with stability for the ride down
✅ Carbon shank: stiffens the platform so the boot transfers power and holds a precise edge
✅ Lightweight build: less weight to lift on every step uphill
Built for Australian Conditions
Splitboarding in Australia means long skins out of Perisher and Guthega into the Main Range, or Bogong High Plains days from Falls Creek. The snow can go from wind scoured ice on the ridges to heavy spring corn by lunchtime, so a stiff, precise boot with real grip underfoot matters. The walk mode buckle makes the skin track easier, the Michelin Fiberlite outsole holds on icy bootpacks, and the carbon shank keeps the boot driving a long splitboard on the way down. It's just as at home on a Japan or New Zealand touring trip.
Setup Tips from the Shop
Fit the MTB Lite with the touring socks you actually use, one pair only. Snug the lower laces first, then the upper zone, and use the walk mode buckle open on the climb and closed for the descent. Check for heel lift on a steep skin track before your first big mission, not on it. We fit boots for free in store at 435A Bridge Rd Richmond.
Not for you if: you mostly ride resort laps and the park and want a softer, easier boot. Browse our men's snowboard boots and use the filters to find a softer flex in your size.

How stiff is the Jones MTB Lite?
ThirtyTwo rates it 10 out of 10, the stiff end of its scale, and describes it as lace, stiff and precise. It's made for driving big boards in steep, variable snow.
Does the Jones MTB Lite use BOA?
No. It uses traditional laces with 32 Easy Lace loops, plus a quick release walk mode buckle for touring.
What size Jones MTB Lite should I buy?

About ThirtyTwo
ThirtyTwo is a rider driven snowboard brand, best known for boots and now just as serious about outerwear. Why Buy from Twelve Board Store
Twelve Board Store has been riders selling to riders since 2013. We are not a generic retail chain — we are a specialist board sports retailer built around genuine product knowledge, real rider experience and the kind of after-sales support that only comes from a team that actually uses the gear they sell.
Every brand we stock, we ride. Every recommendation we make comes from real experience — on the mountain, in the park, on the street, and on the road. When you call us, you talk to someone who has been on a snowboard at Hotham last weekend or a skateboard in the carpark this morning. That is the difference between buying from Twelve and buying from a warehouse with a website.
We offer services that no online-only retailer can match. Our in-store workshop handles snowboard waxing and tuning, boot heat moulding, electric skateboard and e-bike repairs and assembly, and warranty support handled in-house rather than shipped offshore to a call centre. If something goes wrong with your gear, we fix it. If your boots don't fit, we sort it. If you ordered the wrong size, we swap it — no questions asked.
Our showroom at 435A Bridge Road Richmond stocks the full range across snowboards, bindings, boots, skateboards, longboards, electric skateboards, e-bikes, outerwear and accessories. We offer free shipping Australia-wide on orders over $89, AfterPay and Zip for flexible payment, and fast dispatch so your gear arrives when you need it.
