The Ride Drone in Red is for the rider who wants one binding for the whole resort and doesn't mind people noticing it. Ride rates the 2027 Drone at a Medium response and calls it an all mountain, powder and park snowboard binding, which suits the way most of our customers actually ride: a few groomer laps, a look through the park, then a hunt for leftover soft snow.

Under the bright finish it's a seriously well built binding. The A-Series aluminium chassis keeps weight down and lets the board flex more than a bulky base would, while the extruded aluminium heel cup snaps you across from toe edge to heel edge. The asymmetrical ankle strap flexes more on the medial side so you can still move, and its cushion spreads pressure as you ratchet down. Australian snow rarely stays the same for a full day. Hotham can be boilerplate hard at nine, slushy by one and refrozen again by the last chair. Setup Tips from the Shop

Start by centring your boot so the toe and heel hang over the edges by roughly the same amount; the fully adjustable chassis makes that easy. Set the strap lengths so the ankle padding sits square across the middle of your boot and the ratchet still has a few clicks of travel left when it's tight. Check the mounting screws after your first couple of days on snow, because new discs can settle. We'll mount and set up your bindings for free when you buy in store.

Which Ride Drone size suits my boots?
On Ride's chart the Medium covers US Men's 6 to 10 and the Large covers US Men's 10.5 and up. A chunky outsole can push you up a size, so bring your boots in and we'll check them in the binding, or ring us on 03 9421 2293. You can also check our binding size charts.

Is the Ride Drone good for park riding?
Ride lists park alongside all mountain and powder for the Drone. The Medium response sits between soft and stiff, so it's comfortable on side hits, small jumps and the odd rail, but it's really an all-mountain binding first rather than a pure jib binding.

Does the Ride Drone have a warranty?
Ride covers the A-Series aluminium chassis with a lifetime warranty. We're an authorised Ride dealer, so you buy with the full manufacturer warranty.

What mounting disc comes with the Ride Drone?
