Carver Black Label CX Surfskate Complete | 32.5"
Carver Black Label in CX Coal Satin. 32.5" x 10" 7-ply maple, 17.75" wheelbase, 6.5" CX front truck / C2 rear truck, 69mm 78a Roundhouse Concave Smoke wheels, Carver ABEC 7 built-in bearings. Classic lines, modern performance — understated and precise.
The Black Label is Carver's mid-length surfskate for riders who want a board that performs without announcing itself. Inspired by the clean, refined aesthetic of 1960s longboard design, it pairs rich wood panel detailing with a black deck — a graphic language that stands apart from every loudly-coloured board in the Carver range without sacrificing anything in terms of shape or performance. At 32.5" x 10" with a 17.75" wheelbase, the Black Label shares the same proven platform as the Electric Acid but takes an entirely different visual approach — letting the ride speak for itself. The contoured nose adds leverage and front-foot control through deep rail-to-rail carves, and the wider 10" platform gives you serious foot space and a confident, planted stance throughout.
The 17.75" wheelbase is one of the longer in Carver's standard range — producing smooth, drawn-out turns and controlled pumping that reward patience and weight shift over snap and aggression. The CX front truck in Coal Satin delivers the snappy, single-axis, thruster-style rail engagement that makes Carver's surfskate feel more connected to the surface than any other system on the market. The 69mm 78a Roundhouse Concave Smoke wheels are Carver's premium grip spec — the concave lip profile compresses and bites into the surface mid-carve, expanding the contact area and holding traction through committed turns that wash out standard cruiser wheels. A board that looks this restrained and rides this well is a rarer thing than it sounds.
Carver invented the surfskate in 1996 — not inspired by surfing, but engineered from day one to translate surf movement directly to pavement. Their patented CX and C7 truck systems remain the technical benchmark for the category nearly 30 years on. The Black Label is a Carver original shape — no collaboration, no trend-chasing — just three decades of in-house surfskate engineering applied to a board with a clear, specific aesthetic point of view. Handmade in El Segundo, California.
Why Ride the Carver Black Label CX?
-
1960s Longboard-Inspired Aesthetic
Rich wood panel detailing on a black deck — a graphic language that references classic longboard design without being nostalgic about it; clean, refined, and deliberately understated in a lineup full of bold graphics. -
Wide 10" Platform with Contoured Nose
Extra foot space and leverage for confident, committed carving; the contoured nose adds front-foot control and drive through deep rail-to-rail turns without the board feeling crowded or restrictive underfoot. -
6.5" CX Patented Front Truck — Coal Satin
Carver's hybrid reverse kingpin with a precision pivot pin; snappy, single-axis turns with thruster-style immediacy and no lag between input and response — in a Coal Satin finish matched precisely to the board's visual identity. -
17.75" Wheelbase — Smooth Drawn-Out Turns
One of the longer wheelbases in Carver's standard range; creates smooth, composed, drawn-out carves and controlled pumping that reward weight shift and patience — the geometry suited to a board designed for flowing, confident riding. -
69mm 78a Roundhouse Concave Smoke Wheels
Carver's premium grip wheel spec; the concave lip profile compresses and bites into the surface mid-carve, expanding the contact area and delivering traction through committed turns where standard wheels wash out. -
7-Ply Maple Construction
Stiff, light, and responsive; the foundation that lets the contoured nose and CX truck work together cleanly without flex dampening the precision this board is built to deliver. -
Single Stringer Print Logo Grip
Clean, minimal grip applied over the wood panel graphic; traction where you need it with a visual restraint that's consistent with the board's entire design philosophy — nothing unnecessary, nothing missing.
