What flex works in Australian conditions?

Mid-to-stiff, more than most riders expect. Australian snow is wetter and heavier than Japan or the US, and gear that is too soft loses energy and feels dead in our slush. Most online advice is written for dry North American or Japanese conditions, which pushes riders softer than they should go for here. We ride Falls, Buller, Hotham and Thredbo, and we spec against those conditions rather than someone else's.
