Jones is the brand for riders who look at a mountain and see lines, not lift queues. Founded by big-mountain legend Jeremy Jones, it has become the most credible name in freeride and splitboarding on the planet — boards built to go up, drop in, and hold an edge when it actually matters. As an official Jones EPICenter and the largest Jones dealer in the southern hemisphere, Twelve Board Store carries the deepest Jones range in Australia: solid boards, splitboards, bindings, outerwear and backcountry gear, in stock at our Richmond showroom and shipping free Australia-wide.

The Jones Story
Jeremy Jones spent decades as one of the most respected big-mountain snowboarders in the world, hiking and riding terrain most people only see in films. The problem was the gear — nothing on the market was built to climb a mountain and ride it down properly. So in 2009 he started Jones Snowboards to build it himself: boards designed by someone who actually rides the backcountry, for people who want to do the same.
That origin still defines the brand. Jones boards are directional, terrain-focused and built to perform when the snow gets serious. Jones is also a certified B Corp and one of the most genuinely sustainability-driven companies in snowboarding — Jeremy founded Protect Our Winters, the climate advocacy group, and that environmental commitment runs through the company's construction, materials and recycling programs rather than sitting in a marketing line.
Who Jones Is For
Jones suits the rider who wants to ride the whole mountain and then go beyond it. If you live for powder days, want a board that carves hard and floats deep, or you're getting into splitboarding and backcountry touring, Jones is built for you. The range runs from approachable all-mountain boards like the Mountain Twin and Frontier through to the legendary Flagship for serious freeride charging, plus a full splitboard line for earning your turns. It's less about park laps and more about terrain, float, and boards that hold up to real mountains.
Australian conditions — wet, heavy snow, firm mornings, the occasional deep window at Hotham, Falls Creek or on a Japan trip — are exactly where directional Jones shapes come into their own. We've ridden the range in these conditions and can tell you which board suits how and where you ride.
Jones Snowboard Technology
A few things define how a Jones rides:
- 3D Contour Base: the base is contoured (not flat) to lift the nose and tail, improving float in powder and making turn initiation easier and catch-free.
- Directional shapes: Jones boards are built to ride forward, with setback stances and shapes tuned for stability at speed and float in soft snow.
- Camber/rocker profiles: most models blend camber underfoot for pop and edge hold with rocker in the nose for float and forgiveness. Our camber profiles guide explains how this rides.
- Sustainable construction: recycled steel edges, bio-based resins, FSC-certified wood cores and Jones's Re-Up recycling program.
