The Jones Story

Jeremy Jones made his name as one of the most respected big-mountain snowboarders in the world, riding steep faces that most people only see in films. In 2009 he launched Jones Snowboards to build the boards he actually needed: directional, terrain-driven shapes made to climb and ride wild terrain. He also founded Protect Our Winters, the climate advocacy group, and that environmental focus shows up in how Jones builds gear, including the Re-Up recycling program for old boards.

Jones Tech, Explained

Most Jones boards use a 3D Contour Base, where the base is shaped up at the nose and tail so turns start smoothly and the board planes in powder. Directional rocker in the nose adds float, while camber underfoot gives pop and edge hold on hardpack. Bindings like the Mercury and Orion are built to match, with FASE entry versions for riders who want to click in fast.

How to Choose

Start with where you ride most. Resort laps with the odd powder day suit the Frontier or Mind Expander. Chasing steeps and speed points to the Flagship or Stratos. Japan trips and storm days are Hovercraft territory, and if you want to earn your turns, a Jones splitboard is the move.
