Road Legal in Australia

This is the factory EN15194 road model (certificate SGS-260939-EA, which is also its NSW approval). It's rated at 250W continuous, pedal assist cuts out at 25 km/h and the throttle works as a 6 km/h walk assist only, so you can ride it on roads and bike paths with no licence or rego. From March 2029 NSW will only allow EN15194 e-bikes on roads and paths. The road and off-road versions are built differently at the factory and can't be converted later.

Do I need dual suspension?

If your rides include broken roads, gravel paths, beach tracks or a regular passenger, rear suspension makes a big difference to comfort and control. For mostly smooth bike paths, a front-suspension fat tyre bike does the job. Use the Suspension filter in our electric bike collection to compare.

How far will it go on a charge?

Up to 100 km on the 25Ah battery. Expect the top figure on flat ground in a low assist level; hills, a passenger, wind and cold weather reduce it.

Does it have a throttle?

Yes, but on this road-legal model it works as a walk assist up to 6 km/h, as Australian rules require. Above that the motor only helps while you pedal. The off-road version has no throttle restriction but is for private property only.

Is it heavy?

At 54.5 kg it's a substantial bike, which is what you get with dual suspension and a 25Ah battery. Rolling, it feels planted rather than heavy. The battery is removable, which helps if you need to lift the bike onto a rack.
