The Cosmic is Nitro's most versatile women's binding — a medium-flex all-mountain setup designed to work for everyone from complete beginners to advanced riders who want a forgiving, comfortable binding for long resort days. One size covers Women's US 5.5–10.5. The Ultra Black colourway is clean, versatile, and works with any board graphic. Nitro rates it 4/10 response with a 7/10 comfort rating — soft enough to stay out of your way while you're learning, supportive enough to grow with you season after season.
The Transmission Base Frame provides a stable, responsive foundation with built-in canting — angling your knees and hips into their most natural riding position to reduce fatigue and keep you comfortable on long days. EVA dampening absorbs vibration and smooths out variable snow underfoot. The Cosmic Highback uses 3D thermoform padding, an internal 3D spine for response, and a 35° density foam comfort layer — structured enough to give you something to drive turns with, cushioned enough to feel like you're wearing it, not fighting it. The slim Premium Comfort Ankle Strap delivers an even blend of response and support without bulk. The B.E.S.T. Convertible Toe Strap uses Vibram® ECOSTEP™ rubber, 3D-contoured to match any boot toe box — fits over the top or around the toe cap, grips in any conditions. Lightweight aluminium lever buckles with a polymer Speedwheel won't strip, won't slip, and work smoothly with gloves on. Cable Reinforced Connectors run stainless steel cables through the ladder straps — no stretch, no breaks. Universal Mini Disc covers 2x4 and Channel™ with a snap angle-lock feature that lets you set and lock your binding angle before mounting. Carbon Neutral certified via ClimatePartner.

The S/M covers Women's US 5.5–10.5, Mondo 23.0–28.0, EU 36–43 — this covers the vast majority of women's snowboard boots. If your boot is outside this range, call us on 03 9421 2293 and we'll find the right Nitro binding for your size.
Will it fit my board?
Yes. The Universal Mini Disc covers 2x4 and Burton Channel™ — the two most common insert patterns on the market. The snap angle-lock lets you dial in your stance angle before mounting. Not sure about your board's insert pattern? Call us before you buy.

About Snowboard Bindings — Buying Guide
Bindings are the most underestimated part of your snowboard setup. Most riders spend weeks choosing a board and minutes choosing bindings — but bindings are the complete communication layer between your body and your board. Every turn you initiate, every edge you engage, every carve and press travels from your boots through your bindings to the board. Get this right and you'll never think about them again. Get it wrong and it's all you'll think about all day.
At Twelve Board Store we stock bindings from Burton, Ride, K2, Nitro, Flux, Salomon, Jones, Rome, Bent Metal and Nidecker — covering traditional strap, Burton Step On® and Supermatic rear-entry systems across all price points and riding styles.
Sizing — every brand is different: Boot size drives binding size, but S/M/L/XL means something different across every brand. Burton Small runs US 3–6. Flux Small runs US 4–6. Nitro Small runs US 5–6. Never assume your size is the same brand to brand — check the sizing chart for each binding before you buy. When you're between sizes, go smaller. A snug binding fits better than a loose one every time.
Systems: Traditional strap bindings work with every boot and offer the widest range of options and price points. Burton Step On® requires specific compatible Burton boots — three contact points click in when you step on the board, no straps, completely different experience for resort riders doing laps. Supermatic rear-entry (Nidecker OG, Nidecker LT, Bent Metal Lightning) folds the highback down for faster entry without the boot compatibility requirement of Step On.
Setup matters: Once you have the right binding, set it up correctly. Boot centred toe-to-heel over the board edge. Toe strap centred across the widest part of your toe box — not on your toes. Ankle strap centred across the top of your ankle. Straps firm but not crushing. If you need to over-tighten to stop heel lift, the binding is too large.
