New Deal Useless Wooden Toy Skateboard Deck | 8.5"
A New Deal reissue done right. The Useless Wooden Toys deck brings back one of skateboarding's most recognisable graphics — the Rocking Horse — in a shape built for modern skating. The 8.5" width sits on a slightly modified mold with a symmetrical nose-to-tail surface, a 7.125" nose and 6.75" tail, and a touch less concave depth than New Deal's narrower shapes. The result is a board that feels planted and confident underfoot — stable enough for transition and larger obstacles, responsive enough for street. Classic double kick, mellow concave, and a stained wood finish with screened artwork that holds up as a display piece just as comfortably as it does a daily rider.
Every plank is hand-crafted by PS Stix in Mexico using seven-ply Canadian maple — the same no-shortcuts construction approach that made New Deal's original run so well regarded. This is a limited edition holiday reissue distributed through select skate shops only, so stock won't last.
For skaters who were there the first time around, and for those who've spent years hunting one down.
