Ace Trucks 03 Low | Polished
Ace's classic turn, sitting lower for small wheels.
The Ace 03 Low is a low-profile version of Ace's classic truck, with an 8.0" axle and a polished finish, sold as a pair. It's for street skaters on 7.75" to 8.125" decks who run small wheels and want their board closer to the ground.
At 48mm (1.9") tall, the 03 Low sits 4mm lower than the 33 Classic. That lowers your centre of gravity for a steadier feel on flip tricks and landings, with a slightly reduced turning radius. It's cast from 7071 series aluminium with heat-treated 3056 steel axles and comes with a 91A top and 86A bottom bushing for a quick, easy turn. Ace recommends wheels no taller than 53mm.

What Size Board Does It Fit?
Match the truck's axle width to your deck width, within about 1/8" either side, so the wheels sit right under the edge of the board. The 03 Low has the same 8.0" axle as the 33 Classic, so it sits in the 33 row of Ace's Classic chart.
| Ace Classic size | Axle width | Best board width |
|---|---|---|
| 22 | 7.6" | 7.125"–7.75" |
| 33 (and 03 Low) | 8.0" | 7.75"–8.125" |
| 44 | 8.35" | 8.125"–8.5" |
| 55 | 9.0" | 8.5"–9.125" |
| 66 | 9.35" | 9.125"–9.625" |
Low trucks suit small wheels. Keep to 53mm or under on the 03 Low.
About Ace Trucks
Ace Trucks was founded in California in 2007 by Joey Tershay and Steve "Shrewgy" Ruge, with one goal: build the best performing skateboard trucks in skateboarding. Joey Pulsifer joined as a third partner in 2017.
Ace is known for its smooth, easy turn and clean, classic looks. In April 2021 it launched the AF1, cast with Ace's own process for a big jump in strength without changing the geometry riders already loved. Ace backs new trucks against manufacturing defects for their usable life to the original owner, which is a big part of why skaters trust them for street, park and bowl.
FAQs
What size board do the Ace 03 Low trucks fit?
The 03 Low has an 8.0" axle and fits decks from 7.75" to 8.125". It matches the width of the 33 Classic, just 4mm lower. If you ride an 8.25" or wider deck, look at a wider Ace size.
Should I get low or mid trucks?
Low trucks like the 03 Low sit closer to the ground, which feels stable and quick for flip tricks, but they need small wheels. Mid trucks like the AF1 (53mm) turn a little more and fit a wider range of wheels. If you ride 53mm or smaller wheels on the street, low is a great pick.
Do I need risers with the Ace 03 Low?
No. The 03 Low is made to be run low with small wheels, and Ace doesn't recommend wheels taller than 53mm on it. Adding risers defeats the point of a low truck. If you want bigger wheels, a mid truck is the better choice.
How tight should I set my Ace 03 Low trucks?
Start with the kingpin nut snug, then loosen it a quarter turn at a time until the board turns easily without wobbling at speed. Ace trucks are known for a smooth, easy turn, so many skaters run them a little tighter than other trucks. Always leave at least two threads showing above the nut.
Do these come as a pair?
Yes. You get two trucks, which is enough for one board.

Why Buy from Twelve Board Store
Twelve Board Store has been riders selling to riders since 2013. We are not a generic retail chain — we are a specialist board sports retailer built around genuine product knowledge, real rider experience and the kind of after-sales support that only comes from a team that actually uses the gear they sell.
Every brand we stock, we ride. Every recommendation we make comes from real experience — on the mountain, in the park, on the street, and on the road. When you call us, you talk to someone who has been on a snowboard at Hotham last weekend or a skateboard in the carpark this morning. That is the difference between buying from Twelve and buying from a warehouse with a website.
We offer services that no online-only retailer can match. Our in-store workshop handles snowboard waxing and tuning, boot heat moulding, electric skateboard and e-bike repairs and assembly, and warranty support handled in-house rather than shipped offshore to a call centre. If something goes wrong with your gear, we fix it. If your boots don't fit, we sort it. If you ordered the wrong size, we swap it — no questions asked.
Our showroom at 435A Bridge Road Richmond stocks the full range across snowboards, bindings, boots, skateboards, longboards, electric skateboards, e-bikes, outerwear and accessories. We offer free shipping Australia-wide on orders over $89, AfterPay and Zip for flexible payment, and fast dispatch so your gear arrives when you need it.
Over a decade in business. More than 1,000 reviews. The most trusted specialist board store in Melbourne. If you need advice before you buy, call us on 03 9421 2293, visit us in-store, or contact us online — we'll get you sorted.
