About Blind Skateboards
Blind is one of the most important skate brands ever started. Mark Gonzales, the Gonz, launched it in 1989 under Steve Rocco's World Industries after leaving Vision, and he chose the name as a dig at his old sponsor.
In 1991 Blind released Video Days, directed by Spike Jonze and featuring Gonzales, Guy Mariano, Jason Lee, Rudy Johnson and Jordan Richter. It's still regularly ranked among the most influential skate videos ever made. The Reaper became Blind's signature character and still rolls on its wheels today, as part of the Dwindle Distribution family of brands.
FAQs
What are Blind Reaper Helmet wheels best for?
Street and park skating. Hard 99a urethane and a classic street size make them fast and predictable for flatground, ledges and slides.
What does 99a mean?
99a is a hard urethane on the A scale, the standard for street and park. It's fast on smooth concrete, slides easily on ledges and in powerslides, and feels responsive under your feet. It's a bit louder and rougher on crusty footpaths.
What size wheel should I get?
At 52mm these are a smaller street size: light, quick to accelerate and low to the ground for technical street and ledges. No risers needed on a standard popsicle deck.
Do they come with bearings?
No, they're sold as a set of 4 wheels without bearings. You'll need 8 standard 608 skate bearings (2 per wheel), which fit every standard skateboard wheel.

Why Buy from Twelve Board Store
Twelve Board Store has been riders selling to riders since 2013. We are not a generic retail chain — we are a specialist board sports retailer built around genuine product knowledge, real rider experience and the kind of after-sales support that only comes from a team that actually uses the gear they sell.
Every brand we stock, we ride. Every recommendation we make comes from real experience — on the mountain, in the park, on the street, and on the road. When you call us, you talk to someone who has been on a snowboard at Hotham last weekend or a skateboard in the carpark this morning. That is the difference between buying from Twelve and buying from a warehouse with a website.
We offer services that no online-only retailer can match. Our in-store workshop handles snowboard waxing and tuning, boot heat moulding, electric skateboard and e-bike repairs and assembly, and warranty support handled in-house rather than shipped offshore to a call centre. If something goes wrong with your gear, we fix it. If your boots don't fit, we sort it. If you ordered the wrong size, we swap it — no questions asked.
Our showroom at 435A Bridge Road Richmond stocks the full range across snowboards, bindings, boots, skateboards, longboards, electric skateboards, e-bikes, outerwear and accessories. We offer free shipping Australia-wide on orders over $89, AfterPay and Zip for flexible payment, and fast dispatch so your gear arrives when you need it.
Over a decade in business. More than 1,000 reviews. The most trusted specialist board store in Melbourne. If you need advice before you buy, call us on 03 9421 2293, visit us in-store, or contact us online — we'll get you sorted.
