Ultimate Freestyle Beast
The Lib Tech Golden Orca 2027 is Travis Rice’s competition-bred evolution of the iconic Orca — built specifically for high-pressure freeride lines, switch riding in powder, and all-terrain dominance. Developed for the Natural Selection Tour, the Golden Orca blends the float and volume-shifted power of the standard Orca with design cues from Travis’ T.Rice Pro, resulting in a lighter, more versatile, and more aggressive all-mountain weapon.
A subtly refined tail shape makes the Golden Orca noticeably more comfortable riding switch in soft snow, while the advanced FP Fire Power core delivers explosive pop, fast response, and reduced swing weight. The C2x Directional camber profile loads power through the tip and tail for stability at speed, while still maintaining float and freedom in deep snow. Whether you’re chasing steep freeride lines overseas or standing out in a sea of Orcas at your local resort, the Golden Orca is built to perform when it matters most.
Why Ride the Lib Tech Golden Orca?
✅ Volume-Shifted Design – Ride this board 1–3cm shorter than your regular length for float and manoeuvrability.
✅ Tapered Directional Shape – Float-forward design with improved switch performance in powder.
✅ C2x Directional Camber – Short rocker between the feet with powerful camber zones for pop, stability, and control.
✅ FP Fire Power Core – Ultra-light, lively, and responsive with explosive energy return.
✅ Tri-Ax / Bi-Ax Glass with Basalt Alloy – Smooth, damp ride with increased strength and reduced vibration.
✅ Carbon X Reinforcement – 30° carbon fibre strands enhance torsional response and edge control.
✅ Magne-Traction® Edges – Seven serrated contact points deliver confident grip in all snow conditions.
✅ Sintered Knife-Cut Base – Fast, durable sintered base with reduced manufacturing waste.

LIB TECH ORCA II & GOLDEN ORCA
Let customers speak for us
Lib Tech 2027 Snowboard Collection
Lib Tech snowboards are built by Mervin Manufacturing in Sequim, Washington — the only major snowboard company still handmaking boards in the United States. While every other major brand shifted production to Asia, Lib Tech stayed. The result is tighter quality control, faster innovation, and boards built by the same riders who test them in the mountains of the Pacific Northwest. The 2027 Lib Tech range at Twelve Board Store includes the T-Rice Orca II, T.Rice Apex Orca II, T.Rice Golden Orca, Lib Rig, and DPR — covering everything from progressive all-mountain freeride to freestyle performance. Every board carries Lib Tech's patented Magne-Traction® edge technology, eco-responsible construction, and the handmade quality that only comes from the last snowboard factory still operating on American soil.
At Twelve Board Store we've been selling Lib Tech for over 20 years. Our team has ridden these boards in Australia and overseas — if you need help choosing the right board for your riding style, call us on 03 9421 2293 or visit us at 435A Bridge Road, Richmond.
