Apres and Work - Good Boots

Been running the MTE boots for years lift ops and maintenance, better than Sorrels now that they've got a zip side!

Quality base layer

These Burton base layer pants are the best! Super comfy and a good fit.

Nice sized day pack for short trips and staying light. Can't wait to get up in the mountains to use it.

Fat boy from 12 Boards

I absolutely love the bike and use it nearly everyday.
I’m 67 years old but it’s a bit like going back to having dirt bikes in the mid seventies! Also 12 boards was easy to deal with. A great shop.

Adding another to my collection, best layer for 1st or 2nd layer.

Bent Metal Transfer Men's Snowboard Binding 2026 | Red

Seriously Underrated

These bindings are seriously Underrated, and Bent Metal are now gonna be my go-to bindings for the next few seasons.

I've been riding for 3 decades, and most recently have had Burton Vita's and Cartels, Now's, Joneses, Union Ultras, Nitro Phantoms and Team Pros, Rome Katanas and other stuff I have lost track of.

These Bent Metals have the response and support of a stiffer binding, the dampening to rival my Nitro Phantoms (with that fancy air injected foam and airbag in the heel) and yet are better straps and dampening WITH control, than my Union Ultras - which now, I will be selling.

And they also allow me to move around on board, for when I want to get surfy carvy.

They were not wrong when they said you get dampening AND underfoot feel - with most bindings, you lose one as you gain the other.

You also get the mini disc for microscopic, millimetre perfect stance adjustment.

The straps are super comfy and conform nicely around my boot, crating no pressure points, and the dampening allows my clapped out feet to ride for just that little bit longer, compared to the rest of my binding quiver.

For anyone thinking of these as an outlier potential options to your standard Union Forces or Rome Katanas or Burton Cartels - these are better in many, many ways.

Take the risk, and get yourself a pair!

K2 Maysis Men's Snowboard Boot | 2026 | White — David Djité

The #1 Boot. In a Colourway Built for Style.

The K2 Maysis is the best-selling men's snowboard boot in the world — not because of marketing, but because it nails the thing that actually determines whether a boot is good: fit. The Maysis has been K2's flagship men's boot for years running, and the 2026 edition is the most refined version yet. Built for intermediate to advanced riders who want an all-mountain workhorse that performs everywhere from groomed resort laps to powder days to park sessions, the Maysis fits like a glove from day one and holds that fit across the whole season. The White David Djité colourway brings one of the most iconic men's boots in the game to life in a colourway that reflects the taste of one of snowboarding's most stylish riders.

The fit system is what sets the Maysis apart from every other boot at this price point. The H4 Coiler BOA closes the shell with even tension and automatic lace retraction — quick, repeatable, adjustable with gloves on. But the real weapon is the Conda — K2's proprietary liner lacing system powered by a second BOA dial. The Conda uses a urethane-based harness that wraps around the ankle and physically pulls the heel into the boot's heel pocket. This isn't just tightening the liner — it's actively seating the heel where it needs to be for maximum response and zero lift. The Single Destiny ASYM Conda is asymmetrically designed for a more anatomically accurate wrap around the ankle. Together, the H4 Coiler and Conda create a two-system fit that most boots at double the price can't match.

Inside, the Intuition Control Foam 3D liner uses open-cell, heat-mouldable medium and high-density Intuition foam that forms to the exact shape of your leg, ankle, and foot — and keeps that shape season after season. The S'Café Coffee Mesh is a post-consumer recycled coffee ground mesh that controls odour and manages moisture naturally. Internal and External J-Bars reinforce heel hold and liner structure at two independent points. The Harshmellow Plus insole runs dual-density EVA with Harshmellow in the heel pocket for impact absorption right where you need it most. Underfoot, the This Grips! cupsole uses K2's proprietary dual-rubber compound in a skate-inspired design — rounded heel for hiking, wrapped arch for stability, and Harshmellow in the heel and forefoot for a dampened, quiet ride feel. The Endo 3.0 heel counter is K2's injected technology that maintains consistent flex and rebound over the life of the boot without adding weight.

Why Ride the K2 Maysis?
✅ H4 Coiler BOA Fit System – Shell closure with automatic lace retraction; even tension, quick adjustment with gloves on, impact-resistant H4 dial that ejects and re-inserts without damage
✅ Single Destiny ASYM Conda – K2's proprietary asymmetric urethane harness powered by a dedicated BOA dial; physically pulls the heel into the boot pocket for unrivalled heel hold and zero lift
✅ TX3 BOA Lacing – Snowboard-specific soft lace that conforms more evenly over the shell body than steel cable for consistent, hotspot-free closure
✅ Medium Flex — All-Mountain Versatility – Balanced and controlled; handles everything from groomed resort runs to powder days to park laps without feeling too stiff or too soft at either end
✅ Intuition Control Foam 3D Liner – Open-cell heat-mouldable medium and high-density Intuition foam that forms to your exact leg, ankle, and foot shape; K2's most versatile liner
✅ S'Café Coffee Mesh – Post-consumer recycled coffee ground liner mesh that naturally controls odour and absorbs moisture; essential for multi-day trips
✅ Internal + External J-Bars – Dual-location J-Bars add liner structure and eliminate heel lift from both inside and outside the boot
✅ Harshmellow Plus Insole – Dual-density EVA with Harshmellow in the heel pocket for targeted impact absorption where it matters most
✅ This Grips! Premium Rubber Cupsole with Harshmellow – Skate-inspired dual-rubber compound; rounded heel for hiking, wrapped arch for stability, Harshmellow in heel and forefoot for a dampened, fatigue-reducing ride feel
✅ Endo 3.0 Heel Counter – K2's injected heel counter technology maintains consistent boot flex and rebound over the boot's lifetime without adding weight
✅ Rubber Reinforced Articulating Cuff – Distortion-free flex zone with rubber reinforcement in high-wear areas for long-term durability
✅ HDR Premium Synthetics Shell – Eight times more durable than standard PU; proprietary dynamic resin for exceptional abrasion resistance in the zones where binding hardware and edges do the most damage

Frequently Asked Questions

What size should I order?
The Maysis fits true to your US men's sneaker size. Snowboard boots should feel snug straight out of the box — toes lightly grazing the front of the liner when standing upright, heel locked down with minimal lift. That's not too small, that's correct. When you bend your knees into riding stance your heel drops, toes pull back slightly, and the boot wraps your foot properly. If you're between sizes, use the half sizes. Not sure? Our full boot fit guide at twelveboardstore.com.au/pages/snowboard-boots-how-to-choose-and-fit-guide walks you through exactly how to measure and check fit at home. Or reach us on 03 9421 2293, via the contact page, or in store — we'll sort it in minutes.

Do you offer professional boot fitting and heat moulding?
Yes — and it's free when you buy your boots from us. If you're in Melbourne, come into the store at 435A Bridge Rd Richmond and our staff will fit you properly: measuring your foot, checking shell fit, and heat moulding your Intuition Control Foam 3D liner to your exact foot shape on the spot. The Maysis's Conda system also needs to be correctly set up at the time of fitting — getting the urethane harness dialled to your ankle takes two minutes in the store and makes a significant difference to heel hold and response. Not in Melbourne? We'll walk you through setup and heat moulding over the phone or by message.

What if I get the wrong size or the fit isn't right?
We've got you covered no matter how you bought. If something feels off when your boots arrive, reach out before you do anything else — call us on 03 9421 2293, send a message through the contact page, or email info@twelveboardstore.com.au. Nine times out of ten a fit issue can be diagnosed and solved without a return — particularly on the Maysis where the Conda dial gives you a lot of adjustability that most riders don't fully use out of the box. If the boot genuinely isn't right for your foot, we'll swap it. Boots need to be unworn outside — lodge floors and carpet only — and in original condition.

How does the Maysis compare to the Ride Lasso — and which should I choose?
Both are medium-flex all-mountain boots from serious brands, but the key difference is the heel retention system. The Ride Lasso uses BOA Tongue Tied — a tongue-integrated guide system that locks the ankle zone through the tongue itself. The K2 Maysis uses the Conda — a urethane harness that wraps the ankle from inside the liner and physically pulls the heel into the pocket via a separate BOA dial. Riders with harder-to-hold heels or narrower ankles often find the Conda more effective because it's an active wrapping system rather than a closure-based one. The Maysis also runs S'Café Coffee Mesh for odour control and the Endo 3.0 heel counter for long-term flex consistency — features not found in the Lasso. Come in or call us on 03 9421 2293 and we'll help you work out which system suits your foot better.

About David Djité
David Djité is a Swiss-born, Laax-based K2 Snowboarding team rider widely regarded as one of snowboarding's most stylish and creative riders. Strapping in from the age of three, Djité grew up in the Swiss Alps — a playground that shaped a riding style that's as expressive off the snow as it is on it. Laax, the home of European freestyle snowboarding and the birthplace of the halfpipe on the continent, is where Djité has built his riding and his reputation. He's known not just for what he does on a snowboard but for how — fluid, deliberate, artistic. The David Djité Maysis colourway is an extension of that ethos: a boot built for performance, finished with the kind of considered aesthetic that reflects the rider behind it.

About K2 Snowboarding
K2 has been building snowboards, boots, and bindings since 1987 — one of the founding brands of the sport and consistently one of its most innovative. K2's boot philosophy centres on #WinningWithFit: the belief that fit is the foundation of everything else, and that a boot that fits correctly will outperform a technically superior boot that doesn't. The Maysis has been the best-selling men's snowboard boot in the world for multiple consecutive seasons — the result of decades of refinement in liner technology, heel retention, and damping that riders keep coming back for.

About Snowboard Boots — Buying Guide

Snowboard boots are the most important part of your setup. They connect you to your board, affect your control, comfort, warmth and how much energy you burn across a full day on the hill. Getting the fit right is everything — a boot that fits correctly makes riding easier from your first run. A boot that doesn't will ruin your day regardless of how good the board underneath it is. At Twelve Board Store we fit hundreds of riders every season across brands including Vans, Burton, K2, Ride, ThirtyTwo and DC. Every boot in our range has been ridden and assessed by our team. We only stock boots we'd recommend to our own crew.

Getting your size right online: Measure your foot in centimetres while standing with full weight — this is your Mondo size, the most accurate way to find your boot size. Snowboard boots use US sizing. 25cm = US7, 26cm = US8, 27cm = US9, 28cm = US10, 29cm = US11, 30cm = US12. Boots should feel snug straight out of the box — toes grazing the end when standing, lifting slightly when knees bend forward. A boot that feels comfortable in your lounge room is too big for the mountain.

Volume matters as much as length: Low volume boots suit narrow, low-arch feet. High volume suits wide feet or high arches. Getting volume wrong causes pressure and pain regardless of length. If you're between sizes or have a wide foot, contact us before you buy — we'll point you to the right boot.

Flex rating: Soft (1–4) for beginners, park riders and those who want a surfy, forgiving feel. Medium (5–7) for all-mountain versatility. Stiff (8–10) for aggressive freeride, carving and riders who want direct response and maximum support.

Closure systems: Traditional lace is still the most popular — micro-adjustable, direct feel, lower price point. BOA® dial gives you one-hand precision tightening with gloves on, fast on/off between runs. Hybrid BOA combines lace at the foot with a dial at the instep for zone-by-zone control. Speed lace is faster than traditional lace and lighter than BOA.

Wrong size? We'll swap it. Not sure? Call us on 03 9421 2293 or chat online — our team will give you a straight answer based on your foot shape, riding style and where you're planning to ride. If you're in Melbourne, come in and try them on at 435A Bridge Road Richmond. We heat mould liners in-store — no appointment needed.
