From the mad scientists in the K2 lab, the versatile K2 Formula snowboard binding is an all-mountain freestyle binding that isn’t afraid to mix it up in the steeps, parks, or streets and is the preferred binding of global K2 pros and ams alike.
The Formula is built on K2's Profusion™ Chassis, a mid-to-stiff flexing fiberglass-filled-nylon construction that provides support and cushion for big tricks in the park and pointing it down spicy lines. The AT Nylon highback is responsive with just the right amount of flex and features their Gap Eraser™ forward lean adjustment to customize the response of your board. This forward lean technology allows your highback to have complete contact with your heel cup at any degree of forward lean. Complete contact equals full response. The padded Custom Caddi™ 3D ankle strap provides a supremely comfortable and secure feel when the consequences are high, and the PerfectFit™ 2.0 toe strap hinges to fit any snowboard boot toe profile for comfort and fast response.
The Formula’s Power Ramp is adjustable to evenly match the bottom of your boot outsole and combines with a 3º cant built directly into the chassis to create a natural riding position for big landings, solid take-offs, and even balance on all terrain.
Lastly, the aluminum ratchets are tough as hell and feature K2's integrated EZ Feed™ design and make strapping in quick and hassle-free.

Flex: 6/10
PROFUSION™ CHASSIS – Simple, tough, and lightweight, the ProFusion™ chassis is the go-to standard in the K2 binding collection. On-board tool-less power ramp and toe strap adjustments are paired with multiple ankle-strap mount points to help dial in perfect fit and ideal power transfer.
GF NYLON PERFORMANCE CHASSIS MATERIAL - Injected nylon with integrated fiberglass makes for more response and performance-focused chassis.
ALL-TERRAIN NYLON HIGHBACK - The most stable temperature-resistant highback shapes make every K2 binding model perform best for its designed purpose, available in Nylon and Polycarbonate materials.
CUSTOM CADDI™ ANKLE STRAP WITH NEOPRENE - The most cushion out of any strap in our offering, this proven design features ladder covers and durable PU laminates.
PERFECT FIT™ 2.0 TOE STRAP - Patented toe strap technology that uses flexible hinges and lock levers to custom fit the toe strap to any snowboard boot silhouette.
3° CANTED FOOTBED - Canted 3° to match your natural leg position during riding. More support to the outside of the foot provides improved control while reducing fatigue.
GAP ERASER™ FORWARD LEAN - Gap Eraser™ technology completely eliminates all gapping between the boot, highback, and heel cup, creating an even stronger bond between you and your snowboard. Better contact means better response.
100% TOOL-LESS ADJUSTMENTS - Once mounted to your board, all strap and highback adjustments can be done on-the-fly without the need for screwdrivers or other tools.
ALUMINUM RATCHET - Aircraft-grade aluminum is used to make the most bombproof ratchets on the market.
INTEGRATED EZ FEED HOUSING - A wider, tapered ladder opening allows for the easiest of entry.
4" MULTI-COMPATIBLE MOUNT DISC - Compatible with K2's ProFusion™ Chassis, the 4" Multi-mount disc focuses on power transfer and lets you mount your snowboard binding to 4-hole and channel mounts.

About Snowboard Bindings — Buying Guide
Bindings are the most underestimated part of your snowboard setup. Most riders spend weeks choosing a board and minutes choosing bindings — but bindings are the complete communication layer between your body and your board. Every turn you initiate, every edge you engage, every carve and press travels from your boots through your bindings to the board. Get this right and you'll never think about them again. Get it wrong and it's all you'll think about all day.
At Twelve Board Store we stock bindings from Burton, Ride, K2, Nitro, Flux, Salomon, Jones, Rome, Bent Metal and Nidecker — covering traditional strap, Burton Step On® and Supermatic rear-entry systems across all price points and riding styles.
Sizing — every brand is different: Boot size drives binding size, but S/M/L/XL means something different across every brand. Burton Small runs US 3–6. Flux Small runs US 4–6. Nitro Small runs US 5–6. Never assume your size is the same brand to brand — check the sizing chart for each binding before you buy. When you're between sizes, go smaller. A snug binding fits better than a loose one every time.
Systems: Traditional strap bindings work with every boot and offer the widest range of options and price points. Burton Step On® requires specific compatible Burton boots — three contact points click in when you step on the board, no straps, completely different experience for resort riders doing laps. Supermatic rear-entry (Nidecker OG, Nidecker LT, Bent Metal Lightning) folds the highback down for faster entry without the boot compatibility requirement of Step On.
Setup matters: Once you have the right binding, set it up correctly. Boot centred toe-to-heel over the board edge. Toe strap centred across the widest part of your toe box — not on your toes. Ankle strap centred across the top of your ankle. Straps firm but not crushing. If you need to over-tighten to stop heel lift, the binding is too large.
Not sure which binding suits your setup? Call us on 03 9421 2293, visit us at 435A Bridge Road Richmond, or contact us online. We'll match you to the right binding for your boot, your board and how you ride.
