Carver Firebrand Streetsurf Complete | C5 Raw 32.25"
Part pool board, part street board.
The Firebrand's wider 8.875" template recalls the classic pool board mixed with a street deck. At 32.25" long with a 15.75" wheelbase and a big 5.75" nose, it's made for skateparks, bowls and street sessions.
It rolls on hard 58mm 95a Carver Park wheels with a rounded profile for coping tricks, on Carver's compact C5 hollow trucks, so it rides like a skateboard with a dose of surf flow rather than a soft cruiser.

About Carver Skateboards
Carver Skateboards was founded in 1996 in Venice, California, by surfers Neil Stratton and Greg Falk. They wanted a board that felt like surfing on land, so they built the C7: a front truck on a pivoting swing arm that lets the board pump and carve like a surfboard on a wave. That truck started the surfskate category, and Carver calls it the original surfskate.
Around 2005 Carver added the CX, a lighter, snappier reverse-kingpin truck that became its most popular system. Three decades on, Carver still designs out of Culver City, California, and works with surf names like Channel Islands, ...Lost, Kai Lenny and Yago Dora. Surfers around the world use Carvers to train between sessions, and plenty of skaters ride them simply because carving a Carver is that much fun.
FAQs
What is a surfskate?
A surfskate is a skateboard with a special front truck that pivots and turns much further than a normal truck. That lets you pump the board (generate speed by twisting your body, like on a wave) and carve tight, surf-style turns without pushing. Surfers use them to train turns and timing on land, and skaters ride them for the flow. Carver's C7, released in 1996, is widely regarded as the original surfskate truck.
Is a 32.25" surfskate the right size for me?
At 32.25" long and 8.875" wide, the Firebrand is sized like a classic street or pool deck rather than a wide surfskate. It suits riders who want to skate parks, bowls and street with a bit of surf flow. If your main goal is pumping and surf-style carving, a 9.75"+ wide CX surfskate around 30"–31" is the better fit.
Is this a good surfskate for beginners?
It can be, for the right rider. The Firebrand is more of a skatepark and street board than a pure surfskate, with hard park wheels and compact C5 trucks, so it suits beginners who want to learn park skating. If you're mainly after pumping and surf-style carving, a CX surfskate is the more stable, forgiving pick.
What's the difference between Carver CX, C7 and C5 trucks?
CX is Carver's most popular truck: a reverse-kingpin design that's lighter, snappier and more stable at speed, so it's the best all-rounder and the one we recommend for most riders and for skateparks. C7 is the original 1996 swing-arm truck, with a smoother, longer, more flowing surf feel; riders chasing a pure surf-training feel often prefer it. C5 is compact and lower, with an 8.5" axle, made for smaller boards, kids and lighter riders. CX and C7 completes run a C2 rear truck, and C5 completes run a C4 rear.
Can I cruise or commute on it?
It can, for short trips, but this is really a park and street board. The hard 95a park wheels are fast on smooth concrete but feel buzzy on rough footpaths, and the compact C5 trucks are made for tricks rather than long cruising. For commuting, a cruiser or a CX surfskate on soft wheels is the better choice.
Does it come ready to ride?
Yes. It arrives fully assembled with griptape, Carver trucks, wheels and ABEC 7 bearings installed. Just check the bushings feel right for your weight and go surf the street.

Simply put, a surfskate is a skateboard for surfing the street. Surfskates use special trucks that enable riders to mimic the movements, feel, and flow of surfing. Surfskates were originally invented by surfers who wanted something to do on flat days. As time has passed, surf skating has proven to be one of the most enduring passions of skaters and surfers alike. Whether you love to skate or surf, surfskating is the closest experience you can get to gliding down and carving a wave.
