Anon Rodan MIPS Helmet 2026 | Black
The Rodan's light in-mold feel, with MIPS on the inside.
The Anon Rodan MIPS takes Anon's light, low-profile Rodan and adds a MIPS liner for angled impacts. It's built for snowboarders and skiers who want a sleek in-mold lid with BOA fit and an extra layer of rotational protection. This 2026 version comes in Black.
In-mold construction fuses a light polycarbonate shell to the EPS foam. MIPS adds a low-friction layer that lets the helmet slide slightly relative to your head, to help reduce rotational forces in angled impacts. A 360° BOA dial fine-tunes the fit all the way around, the Fidlock magnetic buckle works one-handed with gloves on, and a plush fleece liner and ear pads keep you warm.

Size Guide
Wrap a soft tape around your head about 2cm above your eyebrows, over the widest point and just above your ears. Anon's sizing is in centimetres; if you're between sizes, go with the fit that feels snug without pressure points and try it on with your goggles. Anon's Regular Fit suits oval heads; if you feel pressure on the sides of your head, Anon suggests trying Round Fit.
| Size | Head circumference |
|---|---|
| S | 52–55cm |
| M | 56–59cm |
| L | 60–62cm |
| XL | 63–64cm |
The 360° BOA dial fine-tunes the fit within each size.
About Anon
Anon was started by Burton in 2001 to build goggles and helmets with the same rider-first thinking that drives its snowboards. From day one it was made by snowboarders, for snowboarders, and it has backed riders like Jeremy Jones and Seppe Smits.
Today Anon is known for clever fit and goggle tech: quick-swap magnetic lenses, BOA dial fit in its helmets, Fidlock magnetic buckles you can work with gloves on, and protection systems like MIPS and WaveCel. Riders choose Anon because the helmets and goggles are designed to work together as one system on the hill.
FAQs
What certifications does the Anon Rodan MIPS have?
Anon states all its helmets meet ASTM F2040 (the US snow sports helmet standard) and CE EN 1077 Class B (the European ski and snowboard standard). It's built and certified for snowboarding and skiing, not for bike riding.
What size Anon Rodan MIPS should I get?
Measure about 2cm above your eyebrows and match it to the chart: S 52–55cm, M 56–59cm, L 60–62cm, XL 63–64cm. The BOA dial takes up small differences; if you're on the line between two sizes, try both with your goggles on.
When should I replace my helmet?
Replace it after any significant impact, even if you can't see damage. The EPS foam inside is designed to crush once to absorb a hit, so a helmet that has taken a big crash may not protect you the same way again. Also replace it if the shell is cracked, the foam is dented or the strap or buckle is damaged.
What does MIPS do in the Rodan MIPS?
MIPS is a low-friction layer inside the helmet that lets the shell slide slightly relative to your head in an angled impact. That's designed to help reduce the rotational forces that reach your head. It doesn't change how the helmet fits or feels day to day.
What's the difference between the Rodan and the Rodan MIPS?
Both share the light in-mold shell, 360° BOA fit and Fidlock buckle. The Rodan MIPS adds the MIPS low-friction layer for angled impacts, so pick it if you want that extra rotational protection.

About Anon Goggles — Lens Technology & MFI System
Anon is the goggle brand we recommend most at Twelve Board Store — and the reason comes down to technology that genuinely changes what you can see on the mountain. Founded as part of the Burton family, Anon builds goggles specifically for snowboarders, not adapted from ski or motocross applications. Every design decision is made with a snowboarder in mind.
PERCEIVE® lens technology is Anon's most important innovation. Where a standard goggle lens simply tints light darker, PERCEIVE® filters selectively — blocking the wavelengths that create visual noise while enhancing the wavelengths that define terrain features, shadows and changes in snow surface. The practical result is that you see bumps, ice patches and transitions earlier and more clearly. On Australian resort days where light shifts from bright morning sun to flat afternoon overcast, PERCEIVE® Variable lenses adjust automatically across a 15–65% VLT range without a lens swap. PERCEIVE® Sunny lenses (10–20% VLT) suit bright bluebird conditions. PERCEIVE® Cloudy lenses (55–65% VLT) are built for low-light and overcast days.
MAGNA-TECH® magnetic lens swap allows you to change lenses in seconds with gloves on — no clips, no fumbling, no risk of dropping or scratching. The magnetic seal holds through hard impacts and releases cleanly when you need it. MFI® Magnetic Face Mask Integration connects your face mask directly to your goggles via magnets, eliminating the cold air gap between goggle frame and face mask entirely. No gap. No wind chill. No icy cheeks. If you ride with a Burton helmet, the MFI integration is seamless across the full Anon ecosystem.
The 2027 Anon range at Twelve Board Store includes the M4 MFI, M4S MFI Low Bridge, WM1 MFI and WM3 MFI — covering men's and women's fits across spherical, toric and cylindrical lens options. Call us on 03 9421 2293, visit us at 435A Bridge Road Richmond, or contact us online.
