Z-Flex Surf-A-Gogo Shorebreak Cruiser | 30"
A cruiser with attitude for kerbs, parks and pools.
The Surf-A-Gogo Shorebreak is a slightly more aggressive take on the Z-Flex cruiser at 30" long. Its Surf-a-gogo graphic celebrates 1960s Venice Beach surf culture, inspired by a surf contest held under the Pacific Ocean Pier. It rides like a cruiser but handles kerbs harder, and the 8.5" width makes it fun in parks and pools too.
The 7-ply maple deck runs 5" powder-coated Z-Flex trucks with soft 90A cushions and 14mm riser blocks, on soft 63mm 83A Z-Smooth wheels that give a smooth ride on almost all concrete. Printed grip keeps your feet planted. Browse more cruiser skateboards.

About Z-Flex
Z-Flex is one of skateboarding's original brands. It was started in 1976 by Kent Sherwood, Jay Adams's stepfather, a fibreglass craftsman who had been building boards for the Zephyr team in Dogtown, the Santa Monica and Venice Beach stretch of the California coast. When Sherwood split from Zephyr he took Jay Adams and a handful of Z-Boys with him under the name EZ-Ryder, and within six months the brand became Z-Flex.
Z-Flex lays claim to the first skateboard with a concave top and to a smoother-riding wheel that helped shape the soft wheels most riders use today. Its current range still draws straight from that history: the P.O.P, Ruins to Roses, Banana Train, Surf-a-gogo and Aragon Cheetah series all take their stories from Pacific Ocean Park and the Dogtown scene. FAQs
What is the Surf-A-Gogo Shorebreak best for?
Cruising, short commutes and surf checks. Soft wheels on riser blocks keep it smooth over rough footpaths, and the compact deck is easy to carry and quick to turn.
Is a 30" cruiser the right size for me?
It suits most teens and adults who want a compact, easy board. At 30" long and 8.5" wide, it carries easily onto a tram or into class. For maximum width in bowls, step up to a 9.75" Z-Flex 80s shape.
Is the Surf-A-Gogo Shorebreak good for beginners?
Yes. Z-Flex designs its cruisers for all levels, and the soft wheels and cushions are forgiving and easy to steer. It's a simple board to learn pushing, carving and stopping on.
Cruiser vs skateboard: what's the difference?
A cruiser is built for rolling, not flip tricks. Soft wheels on risers are smoother, quieter and grippier on rough footpaths than a street skateboard's small hard wheels, while the kicktail still handles kick turns and kerbs.
Does it come ready to ride?
Yes. It arrives fully assembled with griptape, trucks, wheels and bearings installed. Just check the truck tightness suits you and go ride.

Why Buy from Twelve Board Store
Twelve Board Store has been riders selling to riders since 2013. We are not a generic retail chain — we are a specialist board sports retailer built around genuine product knowledge, real rider experience and the kind of after-sales support that only comes from a team that actually uses the gear they sell.
Every brand we stock, we ride. Every recommendation we make comes from real experience — on the mountain, in the park, on the street, and on the road. When you call us, you talk to someone who has been on a snowboard at Hotham last weekend or a skateboard in the carpark this morning. That is the difference between buying from Twelve and buying from a warehouse with a website.
We offer services that no online-only retailer can match. Our in-store workshop handles snowboard waxing and tuning, boot heat moulding, electric skateboard and e-bike repairs and assembly, and warranty support handled in-house rather than shipped offshore to a call centre. If something goes wrong with your gear, we fix it. If your boots don't fit, we sort it. If you ordered the wrong size, we swap it — no questions asked.
Our showroom at 435A Bridge Road Richmond stocks the full range across snowboards, bindings, boots, skateboards, longboards, electric skateboards, e-bikes, outerwear and accessories. We offer free shipping Australia-wide on orders over $89, AfterPay and Zip for flexible payment, and fast dispatch so your gear arrives when you need it.
Over a decade in business. More than 1,000 reviews. The most trusted specialist board store in Melbourne. If you need advice before you buy, call us on 03 9421 2293, visit us in-store, or contact us online — we'll get you sorted.
