Z-Flex Dragon 80's Bear Cruiser | 31"
Kung-fu era artwork on a wide, aggressive 80s shape.
The Dragon 80's Bear Cruiser is an aggressive, frog-inspired 80s shape for street cruising, kerbs and the skatepark. Its graphic comes from the Serpent Rollercoaster artwork on the P.O.P pier in Venice Beach, mixed with Japanese illustration, 1980s kung-fu films and three decades of Z-Flex team riders in Asia. It's for riders who want a wide, stable board that does a bit of everything.
The 9.75" wide 7-ply deck has a kicktail and runs 6.25" raw polished Z-Flex trucks with 90A cushions on 14mm risers. It rolls on 60mm x 39mm 90A wheels, which are firm enough for the skatepark but still cruise comfortably. Wide, stable and quick, it's an easy board to carve, kick turn and push around on.

About Z-Flex
Z-Flex is one of skateboarding's original brands. It was started in 1976 by Kent Sherwood, Jay Adams's stepfather, a fibreglass craftsman who had been building boards for the Zephyr team in Dogtown, the Santa Monica and Venice Beach stretch of the California coast. When Sherwood split from Zephyr he took Jay Adams and a handful of Z-Boys with him under the name EZ-Ryder, and within six months the brand became Z-Flex.
Z-Flex lays claim to the first skateboard with a concave top and to a smoother-riding wheel that helped shape the soft wheels most riders use today. Its current range still draws straight from that history: the P.O.P, Ruins to Roses, Banana Train, Surf-a-gogo and Aragon Cheetah series all take their stories from Pacific Ocean Park and the Dogtown scene. Riders choose Z-Flex for easy-riding cruisers, longboards and surfskates with real heritage, set up to be fun from the first push.
FAQs
What is the Z-Flex Dragon 80's Bear best for?
Mixing it up: street cruising, kerbs and the skatepark. The wide deck and 6.25" trucks are stable on transition, and the 60mm 90A wheels have speed for bowls while still rolling well around town.
Is a 31" cruiser the right size for me?
It suits teens and adults, especially riders with bigger feet who want a roomy, stable deck. It's 31.25" long and 9.75" wide with a 15.375" wheelbase. If you'd rather have something narrower and lighter, a Z-Flex 29" cruiser is the pick, and for a longboard feel try a 38" pintail.
Is the Dragon 80's Bear good for beginners?
Yes. The wide deck makes balancing easy, and it's a great board for learning to carve and ride small bowls. The 90A wheels are a little firmer than a pure cruiser's, so it's happiest on smoother ground.
Cruiser vs skateboard: what's the difference?
A cruiser is made for rolling and carving rather than flip tricks. The Dragon 80's Bear is a wider, old-school shape on 60mm wheels and risers, so it's more stable and smoother than a narrow street skateboard. The kicktail still handles kick turns, kerbs and coping.
Can I commute on the Dragon 80's Bear?
For short trips on reasonable footpaths, yes. The 60mm 90A wheels are firmer than a dedicated cruiser's, so rough concrete will feel buzzier. If a smooth commute is the main goal, choose a cruiser with soft 83A wheels.
Does it come ready to ride?
Yes. It arrives fully assembled with griptape, trucks, wheels and bearings installed. Just check the truck tightness suits you and go ride.
