Z-Flex Aragon Cheetah Cruiser | 27"
Laser-etched claw marks and a Dogtown legend behind them.
The Aragon Cheetah Cruiser honours the Cheetah Club, a Dogtown-era live music venue that burned down in 1970. Its wreckage ended up in the ocean and formed a surf break that Jay Adams and the Dogtown crew adopted as their local. The graphics come from several artists, and the deck carries laser-etched claw marks. It's Z-Flex's compact 27" cruiser, made for riders of any level.
The 7-ply deck has a kicktail and rides on 5" powder-coated Z-Flex trucks with soft 90A cushions and 14mm riser blocks. Soft 63mm 83A Z-Smooth wheels roll smoothly over most concrete, so it's an easy board for commuting, surf checks and short trips. It's small, light and quick to turn.

About Z-Flex
Z-Flex is one of skateboarding's original brands. It was started in 1976 by Kent Sherwood, Jay Adams's stepfather, a fibreglass craftsman who had been building boards for the Zephyr team in Dogtown, the Santa Monica and Venice Beach stretch of the California coast. When Sherwood split from Zephyr he took Jay Adams and a handful of Z-Boys with him under the name EZ-Ryder, and within six months the brand became Z-Flex.
Z-Flex lays claim to the first skateboard with a concave top and to a smoother-riding wheel that helped shape the soft wheels most riders use today. Its current range still draws straight from that history: the P.O.P, Ruins to Roses, Banana Train, Surf-a-gogo and Aragon Cheetah series all take their stories from Pacific Ocean Park and the Dogtown scene. Riders choose Z-Flex for easy-riding cruisers, longboards and surfskates with real heritage, set up to be fun from the first push.
FAQs
What is the Z-Flex Aragon Cheetah Cruiser best for?
Short commutes, surf checks and cruising. It's a compact, smooth-rolling board that turns quickly and carries easily. The laser-etched claw marks make it one of the more distinctive boards in the Z-Flex range.
Is a 27" cruiser the right size for me?
It's a compact cruiser that suits kids, teens, lighter adults and anyone who wants a board that's easy to carry. The Aragon Cheetah Cruiser is 27.5" long and 7.875" wide, so it turns quickly and fits under a desk or in a locker. The 15.25" wheelbase keeps it nimble. If you want a little more room to stand, step up to a Z-Flex 29" cruiser.
Is the Aragon Cheetah Cruiser good for beginners?
Yes. Z-Flex designed this shape for all levels, and the soft 83A wheels and 90A cushions make it forgiving and easy to control. Its light weight also suits younger riders.
Cruiser vs skateboard: what's the difference?
A cruiser is built for rolling, not flip tricks. The Aragon Cheetah Cruiser runs soft 63mm 83A Z-Smooth wheels on riser blocks, so it's smoother, quieter and grippier on rough footpaths than a street skateboard's small hard wheels. The shape is made for comfortable pushing and carving, with a kicktail for kick turns and getting up kerbs.
Can I commute on the Aragon Cheetah Cruiser?
Yes, for short trips. The soft 63mm wheels handle most footpaths, and the board is small enough to carry on public transport. For longer or rougher rides, a longboard with 69mm wheels is more comfortable.
Does it come ready to ride?
Yes. It arrives fully assembled with griptape, trucks, wheels and bearings installed. Just check the truck tightness suits you and go ride.
