Z-Flex P.O.P Even Tide Cruiser | 27"
Calm-water colours on a pocket-sized Dogtown classic.
The P.O.P Even Tide Cruiser is part of Z-Flex's reissue of its best-selling range of all time. P.O.P is Pacific Ocean Park, the derelict Venice Beach pier where the Z-Boys surfed and skated, and the series draws on the hot-rod and graffiti culture of 1970s Dogtown. The Even Tide colourway gives that heritage a calm, beachy look. It's a compact cruiser for kids, teens and adults who want a small board that's easy to take anywhere.
It's built on Z-Flex's compact 27" cruiser shape: a 7-ply maple deck with a kicktail, 5" Z-Flex trucks with soft 90A cushions, 14mm riser blocks and soft 83A Z-Smooth wheels. It turns quickly, rolls smoothly over rough footpaths and is light enough to carry anywhere.

About Z-Flex
Z-Flex is one of skateboarding's original brands. It was started in 1976 by Kent Sherwood, Jay Adams's stepfather, a fibreglass craftsman who had been building boards for the Zephyr team in Dogtown, the Santa Monica and Venice Beach stretch of the California coast. When Sherwood split from Zephyr he took Jay Adams and a handful of Z-Boys with him under the name EZ-Ryder, and within six months the brand became Z-Flex.
Z-Flex lays claim to the first skateboard with a concave top and to a smoother-riding wheel that helped shape the soft wheels most riders use today. Its current range still draws straight from that history: the P.O.P, Ruins to Roses, Banana Train, Surf-a-gogo and Aragon Cheetah series all take their stories from Pacific Ocean Park and the Dogtown scene. Riders choose Z-Flex for easy-riding cruisers, longboards and surfskates with real heritage, set up to be fun from the first push.
FAQs
What is the Z-Flex P.O.P Even Tide Cruiser best for?
Short trips and cruising around the neighbourhood. It's compact, light and quick to turn, and the soft wheels make rough footpaths comfortable. It's also a great grab-and-go board for the beach or campus.
Is a 27" cruiser the right size for me?
It's a compact cruiser that suits kids, teens, lighter adults and anyone who wants a board that's easy to carry. The P.O.P Even Tide is 27.5" long and 7.875" wide, so it turns quickly and fits under a desk or in a locker. If you want a little more room to stand, step up to a Z-Flex 29" cruiser.
Is the P.O.P Even Tide good for beginners?
Yes. It's light, soft-wheeled and easy to steer, and Z-Flex designs this shape for all levels. Smaller riders find the compact deck especially easy to control.
Cruiser vs skateboard: what's the difference?
A cruiser is built for rolling, not flip tricks. The P.O.P Even Tide runs soft 83A Z-Smooth wheels on riser blocks, so it's smoother, quieter and grippier on rough footpaths than a street skateboard's small hard wheels. The shape is made for comfortable pushing and carving, with a kicktail for kick turns and getting up kerbs.
Can I commute on the P.O.P Even Tide?
Yes, for short hops. The soft wheels smooth out most footpaths and the 27" deck is easy to carry onto a tram or into class. For long daily distances or very rough roads, a bigger longboard will be less tiring.
Does it come ready to ride?
Yes. It arrives fully assembled with griptape, trucks, wheels and bearings installed. Just check the truck tightness suits you and go ride.
