Pint-S thoughts

I've had my new Pint-S now for a week and put about 11 klms on it so far due to a fair bit of rain. The battery is now at 62% and top speed of 16kph as I find 12-15 very comfortable and have no intention of hurting myself any sooner than I have to.
The treaded tire gives more confidence for sure off of the pavement which I do about 50%.
I like the curved foot pads as I like a wide stance and my feet feel more planted than on the Pint. The Fender is also almost a must for me now that I see the difference of gravel and dirt not covering the footpads anymore.
Twelveboard store was very helpful and friendly with the purchase as well.

Thanks for the gift card, not sure how to use it just yet!

Fits perfect on my Fatboy Scrambler, comes with mounting screws. Very happy

Burton step on bindings

These were great to use. Forget about ratchets and spend more time going down hill rather than down on your bum tightening your bindings.

great

had it as a mid layer this weekend and was very satisfied with it. even as a standalone vest

Travel ready Split /Resort binding

Easily modifiable to fit Alpine Prime bindings along with a Quiver Connector means I have a premium split/resort Straightline binding ready to rip on my travels

The EVA footbed can be modified to fit Alpine Prime bindings so now my Straightline bindings can be used with a Quiver Connector to only take one set of bindings with my resort and splitboard overseas.

Epic glove with super comfort

Great quality product. Liners are amazing. Recommend using beeswax on leather palm to keep it waterproof. Holds up in wet weather

Apres and Work - Good Boots

Been running the MTE boots for years lift ops and maintenance, better than Sorrels now that they've got a zip side!

Quality base layer

These Burton base layer pants are the best! Super comfy and a good fit.

Nice sized day pack for short trips and staying light. Can't wait to get up in the mountains to use it.

TSG Force V A Kneepad | Black

Jono Schwan's low-profile vert pad, with an extra layer of ACF foam.

The Force V A is based on the Force V, the low-profile hard cap vert pad TSG developed with pro vert skater Jono Schwan. The A version adds an extra layer of ACF foam for a more form-fitting feel and extra cushioning when you bail. It's built for vert, bowl and big transition.

A replaceable PE cap sits over multi-layer EVA foam, with a horseshoe-shaped compression-moulded pad around the knee. An anti-shift silicone print on the liner, two neoprene butterfly straps, a 360 Velcro top strap and an adjustable bottom strap with snap buckle keep it locked in place. The open back means you can get it on without taking your shoes off.

Key Features

  • Hard cap vert pad: low-profile design modelled on Jono Schwan's Force V
  • Extra ACF foam layer: soft in normal use and firms up on impact, for more comfort and cushioning
  • Replaceable PE cap: swap the cap when it wears instead of replacing the pad
  • Multi-layer EVA foam: on and around the knee, with a horseshoe-shaped pad
  • Anti-shift silicone liner: helps stop the pad sliding down mid-slam
  • Pro-level strapping: two neoprene butterfly straps, a 360 top strap and a buckled bottom strap
  • Open back: on and off without removing your shoes

Specs

  • Shell/cap: Replaceable PE knee cap
  • Padding: Multi-layer EVA foam plus an extra layer of ACF PU foam
  • Closure/straps: 2 neoprene butterfly straps, 360 Velcro top strap, adjustable bottom strap with snap buckle
  • Liner: Anti-shift silicone print
  • Materials: 42% EVA, 25% polyester, 15% neoprene, 10% ACF PU foam, 5% nylon, 3% rubber
  • Sizes: S, M, L, XL
  • Sold as: Pair
  • Best for: Vert, bowl and transition skating
  • Colourway: Black

Size Guide

TSG sizes this pad on two measurements. With a soft tape or string, measure your thigh circumference 13cm above the knee and your calf circumference 13cm below the knee. If you fall between sizes, TSG recommends sizing up.

Size Thigh (13cm above knee) Calf (13cm below knee)
S 34–38cm 30–35cm
M 38–42cm 35–40cm
L 42–46cm 40–45cm
XL 46–50cm 45–50cm
2–3XL 50–54cm 50–55cm

A vert pad should feel snug. Fit the butterfly straps first, then the top and bottom straps, and the pad shouldn't twist when you kneel.

About TSG

TSG started in 1988, when a crew of riders, including former skateboarders, couldn't find protective gear good enough for what they were doing, so they made their own. The brand is designed in Switzerland, run out of Zurich and is still privately owned. Its motto says it all: the best protective gear for riders, by riders.

TSG's past ambassadors include Tony Hawk, Ryan Nyquist and Buster Halterman, and its current team runs from BMX and freeride MTB to snowboarding and vert, with Sam Pilgrim, Gigi Rüf and vert skater Jono Schwan on the list. TSG is known for a snug, low-profile fit and gear that is team tested before it hits the shelf.

FAQs

What size TSG Force V A should I get?
Measure your thigh 13cm above the knee and your calf 13cm below it, then match both to TSG's chart, from S (34–38cm thigh) up. If you're between sizes, TSG says go up. It should feel snug and stay put when you drop to your knees.

What's the difference between the Force V and the Force V A?
The Force V A adds an extra layer of ACF foam to the Force V's low-profile hard cap design. That gives a more form-fitting feel and extra cushioning on bails. If you want the slimmest vert pad, it's the Force V; if you want more padding, it's the A.

Hard cap or soft pad: which do I need?
Go hard cap for vert, bowl and transition, where you knee slide out of falls. The cap lets you slide instead of grabbing the ramp. Soft pads suit street and cruising, where you want less bulk.

Can I replace the knee cap?
Yes. The PE cap on the Force V A is replaceable, so you can swap a worn cap and keep the rest of the pad. Check the cap and foam after big slams and replace them if they're cracked or flattened.

Do I wear the Force V A over or under my pants?
Most vert skaters wear them over pants or on bare legs, so the cap can slide freely. The open back and butterfly straps let you put them on over pants without taking your shoes off.

Why Buy from Twelve Board Store

Twelve Board Store has been riders selling to riders since 2013. We are not a generic retail chain — we are a specialist board sports retailer built around genuine product knowledge, real rider experience and the kind of after-sales support that only comes from a team that actually uses the gear they sell.

Every brand we stock, we ride. Every recommendation we make comes from real experience — on the mountain, in the park, on the street, and on the road. When you call us, you talk to someone who has been on a snowboard at Hotham last weekend or a skateboard in the carpark this morning. That is the difference between buying from Twelve and buying from a warehouse with a website.

We offer services that no online-only retailer can match. Our in-store workshop handles snowboard waxing and tuning, boot heat moulding, electric skateboard and e-bike repairs and assembly, and warranty support handled in-house rather than shipped offshore to a call centre. If something goes wrong with your gear, we fix it. If your boots don't fit, we sort it. If you ordered the wrong size, we swap it — no questions asked.

Our showroom at 435A Bridge Road Richmond stocks the full range across snowboards, bindings, boots, skateboards, longboards, electric skateboards, e-bikes, outerwear and accessories. We offer free shipping Australia-wide on orders over $89, AfterPay and Zip for flexible payment, and fast dispatch so your gear arrives when you need it.

Over a decade in business. More than 1,000 reviews. The most trusted specialist board store in Melbourne. If you need advice before you buy, call us on 03 9421 2293, visit us in-store, or contact us online — we'll get you sorted.
