Triple 8 Covert Knee Pads
Triple Eight's slimmest knee pad. You will forget it is there.
Covert Knee Pads are Triple Eight's slimmest, most natural knee protection. The easy pull-on sleeve is made for skateparks where pads are required, or for days you just want a little padding without the bulk. They suit skateboarders, roller skaters, MTB and BMX riders and beginners who want to build confidence.
It is a soft pull-on sleeve with EVA padding over the knee. The construction is flexible and non-restrictive, so you can push, pump and pedal freely. Triple Eight designed them to fit under or over your clothes.

Size Guide
Straighten your leg and measure the circumference around the centre of the knee. If you are between sizes or unsure, Triple 8 strongly recommends sizing up to the larger size.
| Size | Extended knee circumference (in) | Extended knee circumference (cm) |
|---|---|---|
| S | 12.5–14.5in | 32–36cm |
| M | 14.5–16in | 36–40cm |
| L | 16–17in | 40–44cm |
| XL | 17–18.5in | 44–47cm |
As a pull-on sleeve with no straps, the right size matters. It should hold firm without pinching behind the knee.
About Triple 8
Triple Eight was born on the streets of New York City and made its first helmet in 1996. It started as protection for people who actually ride, and that is still the whole point. Over the years the brand has built signature gear with some of the biggest names on a board, from Tony Hawk signature edition helmets to Deep Cover editions for Mike McGill and back-to-back Olympic gold medallist Keegan Palmer.
Below the helmet, Triple Eight is known for the Saver Series. The Wristsaver, Kneesaver and Elbowsaver are some of the most common pads at any skatepark or rink, and the range now runs from soft pull-on Coverts to derby-tested RD Wristsavers and the Bumsaver padded shorts. Collaborations with roller names like Barbie Patin and GRLSWIRL show how deep the brand runs in roller culture. Riders choose Triple Eight for simple, proven protection that fits well and keeps them skating.
FAQs
What size Covert Knee Pads should I get?
Measure around the centre of your knee with the leg straight: S is 32–36cm, M 36–40cm, L 40–44cm and XL 44–47cm. Triple 8 recommends sizing up if you are between sizes. Because there are no straps, the sleeve size is what holds it in place.
Hard cap or soft pad: which is the Covert?
The Covert is a soft sleeve with EVA padding, not a hard cap. It is for light protection and comfort. For knee slides on ramps and bowls, step up to a hard cap pad.
Can I wear Covert pads under pants?
Yes. Triple 8 designed them to fit under or over your clothes, and they are slim enough to disappear under jeans or skate pants.
How do I wash Covert pads?
Triple 8 does not publish washing instructions. Air them out after sessions, and if you hand wash, use cool water and mild soap and dry them away from direct heat.

Let customers speak for us
Why Buy from Twelve Board Store
Twelve Board Store has been riders selling to riders since 2013. We are not a generic retail chain — we are a specialist board sports retailer built around genuine product knowledge, real rider experience and the kind of after-sales support that only comes from a team that actually uses the gear they sell.
Every brand we stock, we ride. Every recommendation we make comes from real experience — on the mountain, in the park, on the street, and on the road. When you call us, you talk to someone who has been on a snowboard at Hotham last weekend or a skateboard in the carpark this morning. That is the difference between buying from Twelve and buying from a warehouse with a website.
We offer services that no online-only retailer can match. Our in-store workshop handles snowboard waxing and tuning, boot heat moulding, electric skateboard and e-bike repairs and assembly, and warranty support handled in-house rather than shipped offshore to a call centre. If something goes wrong with your gear, we fix it. If your boots don't fit, we sort it. If you ordered the wrong size, we swap it — no questions asked.
Our showroom at 435A Bridge Road Richmond stocks the full range across snowboards, bindings, boots, skateboards, longboards, electric skateboards, e-bikes, outerwear and accessories. We offer free shipping Australia-wide on orders over $89, AfterPay and Zip for flexible payment, and fast dispatch so your gear arrives when you need it.
Over a decade in business. More than 1,000 reviews. The most trusted specialist board store in Melbourne. If you need advice before you buy, call us on 03 9421 2293, visit us in-store, or contact us online — we'll get you sorted.
