Slant Wedge Riser | 1/4" to 1/2"
Angle your trucks to change how your board turns.
The Slant Wedge Riser tapers from 1/4" to 1/2", so it lifts your trucks and changes their angle at the same time. It's for riders who want to tune how their board turns, or just get their wheels further from wheel bite.
Face the thin side towards the nose or tail for more turn and less lean, or flip it so the thick side faces out for more lean and less turn. Sold as a pair, it's a simple way to experiment with your setup.
Key Features
- Wedge shape: 1/4" to 1/2" taper
- Tune your turn: flip to wedge or dewedge
- Extra lift: more wheel clearance
- Pair: one per truck
Specs
- Thickness: 1/4" tapering to 1/2"
- Type: Wedge riser
- Hole pattern: Old school and new school
- Small side out: More turn, less lean
- Big side out: More lean, less turn
- Hardware needed: 1.5" to 1.75" bolts (general guide)
- Count: 2 (one per truck)
About Slant
Slant is the skateboard components line sold by Globe, covering truck parts like bushings and riser pads for riders who like to tune how their setup turns.
Its parts are simple, affordable and easy to swap, so you can experiment with your truck feel without spending big. Change a bushing or angle a riser and you can feel the difference on your next push.
FAQs
Which way round should I fit them?
Small side facing out (towards the nose or tail) gives more turn and less lean. Big side facing out gives more lean and less turn, which feels more stable at speed.
What length bolts do I need?
With 1/4" to 1/2" wedge risers, run 1.5" to 1.75" bolts. As a general guide, without risers 7/8" or 1" suits most decks; with 1/8" risers go 1" to 1.25"; with 1/4" risers 1.25" to 1.5"; and with 1/2" risers 1.5" to 2". Go to the longer end on thicker decks. You want the nut fully on the thread with a little bolt showing, but not so long it sticks up through the baseplate.
Allen vs Phillips bolts, which should I use?
Either works with these risers. Allen (hex) bolts are easier to tighten without stripping the head, while Phillips heads are the classic option and use the screwdriver on most skate tools. Pick whichever matches the tool you carry.
Do wedge risers stop wheel bite?
Yes. Even at the thin end there's 1/4" of lift, which gives most bigger wheels extra clearance.
How many in a pack?
Two, one for each truck.

Why Buy from Twelve Board Store
Twelve Board Store has been riders selling to riders since 2013. We are not a generic retail chain — we are a specialist board sports retailer built around genuine product knowledge, real rider experience and the kind of after-sales support that only comes from a team that actually uses the gear they sell.
Every brand we stock, we ride. Every recommendation we make comes from real experience — on the mountain, in the park, on the street, and on the road. When you call us, you talk to someone who has been on a snowboard at Hotham last weekend or a skateboard in the carpark this morning. That is the difference between buying from Twelve and buying from a warehouse with a website.
We offer services that no online-only retailer can match. Our in-store workshop handles snowboard waxing and tuning, boot heat moulding, electric skateboard and e-bike repairs and assembly, and warranty support handled in-house rather than shipped offshore to a call centre. If something goes wrong with your gear, we fix it. If your boots don't fit, we sort it. If you ordered the wrong size, we swap it — no questions asked.
Our showroom at 435A Bridge Road Richmond stocks the full range across snowboards, bindings, boots, skateboards, longboards, electric skateboards, e-bikes, outerwear and accessories. We offer free shipping Australia-wide on orders over $89, AfterPay and Zip for flexible payment, and fast dispatch so your gear arrives when you need it.
Over a decade in business. More than 1,000 reviews. The most trusted specialist board store in Melbourne. If you need advice before you buy, call us on 03 9421 2293, visit us in-store, or contact us online — we'll get you sorted.
