The S1 Lifer is S1's go-to certified skate helmet, with a low, deep fit and a classic skate shape. This one is Matte Black with purple straps. It's made for skaters, BMX riders, scooter kids, roller skaters and derby players who want real certified protection. This one comes in older S1 packaging.

S1 builds the Lifer around its own EPS Fusion Foam, formulated to handle multiple low-force impacts as well as a single high-force hit. Wrap a soft tape measure around your head about 2cm above your eyebrows, at the widest point, and pick the size closest to your measurement. S1 sizes in inches; the cm figures are conversions. Between sizes? The two sizing liners supplied let you go a little tighter or looser, and we can help you check the fit in store.

Each size ships with two sizing liners of different thickness, so you can go tighter or looser. S1 colour-codes its liners by size and sells an optional Fit Kit with 7 sizing liners and 2 top pads.

What size S1 Lifer should I get?

When should I replace my helmet?
Replace it after any big, hard impact, even if it looks fine. The Lifer's EPS Fusion foam is certified to handle multiple small knocks, but a serious slam can still compress the liner beyond what it can recover from. Swap it out too if the shell cracks, the foam dents or the straps wear.

What does multi-impact mean on the S1 Lifer?
