Protec Street Gear Jr 3 Pk Checker
A full kit of kids pads so little rippers can fall and get back up.
The Pro-Tec Street Gear Jr 3 Pack is a scaled-down version of Pro-Tec's Street pads and wrist guards, made for younger riders, here in Checker. One pack covers knees, elbows and wrists. It's ideal for kids learning to skate, rollerskate or ride a scooter or bike at the park.
Each piece uses abrasion-resistant nylon, durable plastic caps and EVA padding, with neoprene stretch panels for a comfortable fit. Hook-and-loop closures make them easy for kids to put on and adjust, and the set comes in a reusable mesh bag.
Key Features
- Three pairs in one: knee pads, elbow pads and wrist guards
- Plastic caps: spread the impact and slide on falls
- EVA padding: cushions knees and elbows
- Neoprene stretch panels: comfy, flexible fit for kids
- Hook-and-loop closures: easy on and off
- Reusable mesh bag: keeps the kit together
Specs
- Shell/cap: Durable plastic caps
- Padding: EVA foam
- Outer: Abrasion-resistant nylon with neoprene stretch panels
- Splint: Wrist guard splints
- Closure/straps: Hook-and-loop
- Sizes: Youth Small, Youth Medium
- Sold as: 3-pack: 1 pair each of knee pads, elbow pads and wrist guards
- Best for: Kids learning to skate, rollerskate, scoot or ride

What's in the Pack
- Knee pads: 1 pair, plastic caps and EVA padding
- Elbow pads: 1 pair, plastic caps and EVA padding
- Wrist guards: 1 pair, splinted for wrist support
- Mesh bag: reusable storage bag
One pack size covers all three pieces. Measure your kid's knees, elbows and wrists and pick the size that fits their knees best.
Size Guide
Pro-Tec has its own youth chart for the Junior Street Gear. Knees: around the thigh 10cm (4") above the knee centre and the calf 10cm below. Elbows: around the upper arm 15cm (6") above the elbow centre and the forearm 10cm below. Wrists: around the wrist. Pro-Tec's chart is in inches; we've converted to cm.
| Size | Knee above / below | Elbow upper / forearm | Wrist |
|---|---|---|---|
| Youth Small | 25–30cm / 23–27cm | 19–23cm / 17–20cm | 13–15cm |
| Youth Medium | 30–36cm / 25–30cm | 20–24cm / 19–22cm | 14–17cm |
Kids grow fast, but don't size up too far: pads that are loose can slide off the joint in a fall. Snug with the straps closed is right.
About Pro-Tec
Pro-Tec has been protecting skaters since 1973 and is one of the most recognisable names in skate and BMX protection. Its Street pads have been around for decades and are still the pad most skaters picture when they think of knee and elbow pads. Pro-Tec says its Street elbow is the pad used by Bucky Lasek, Christian Hosoi and Lincoln Ueda, and its team list runs from Steve Caballero and Steve Alba to Sakura Yosozumi and Australia's own Poppy Starr Olsen, with snowboard legend Todd Richards on the snow side.
Today Pro-Tec is known for no-fuss protection that does the job: tough nylon outers, plastic caps and EVA foam on the Street range, heavier ballistic builds with replaceable caps on the Vert range, and slim neoprene wrist guards for snowboarding. Riders choose Pro-Tec because it fits well, lasts and has been part of skate culture for over 50 years.
FAQs
What size Pro-Tec Street Gear Jr 3 Pack should I get?
Measure your child's thigh and calf 10cm above and below the knee, plus their elbows and wrists, and match them to the youth chart. Youth Small suits a 25–30cm above-knee measurement and Youth Medium suits 30–36cm. If they're on the line, pick the size that fits their knees snugly.
What's in the Pro-Tec Junior 3 Pack?
One pair each of knee pads, elbow pads and wrist guards, plus a reusable mesh bag. That's six pieces covering knees, elbows and wrists.
What age is the Junior 3 Pack for?
Pro-Tec sizes it by measurements rather than age, so measure your kid and use the chart. As a guide, Youth Small suits smaller kids and Youth Medium suits primary-school-aged riders, but limbs vary a lot.
How do I wash kids pads?
Pro-Tec doesn't publish care instructions. Hand wash in cool water with mild soap, rinse and air dry out of the sun. Close the hook-and-loop straps first so they don't snag.

Why Buy from Twelve Board Store
Twelve Board Store has been riders selling to riders since 2013. We are not a generic retail chain — we are a specialist board sports retailer built around genuine product knowledge, real rider experience and the kind of after-sales support that only comes from a team that actually uses the gear they sell.
Every brand we stock, we ride. Every recommendation we make comes from real experience — on the mountain, in the park, on the street, and on the road. When you call us, you talk to someone who has been on a snowboard at Hotham last weekend or a skateboard in the carpark this morning. That is the difference between buying from Twelve and buying from a warehouse with a website.
We offer services that no online-only retailer can match. Our in-store workshop handles snowboard waxing and tuning, boot heat moulding, electric skateboard and e-bike repairs and assembly, and warranty support handled in-house rather than shipped offshore to a call centre. If something goes wrong with your gear, we fix it. If your boots don't fit, we sort it. If you ordered the wrong size, we swap it — no questions asked.
Our showroom at 435A Bridge Road Richmond stocks the full range across snowboards, bindings, boots, skateboards, longboards, electric skateboards, e-bikes, outerwear and accessories. We offer free shipping Australia-wide on orders over $89, AfterPay and Zip for flexible payment, and fast dispatch so your gear arrives when you need it.
Over a decade in business. More than 1,000 reviews. The most trusted specialist board store in Melbourne. If you need advice before you buy, call us on 03 9421 2293, visit us in-store, or contact us online — we'll get you sorted.
