The Pro-Tec Street Elbow is the pad you've seen on skaters for decades, here in Black checker. Pro-Tec says it's the elbow pad used by Bucky Lasek, Christian Hosoi and Lincoln Ueda. It's built for street, park and learning new tricks, and it's just as handy for scooters, BMX, rollerskating and cruising.

It uses two-ply anatomical EVA foam under a plastic cap, with an articulated shape that bends with your arm. Inside is a stretch Lycra lining, and upper and lower straps hold it in place so it doesn't slide down when you slam.

Size Guide

Pro-Tec sizes its Street elbow pads on two arm measurements. With your arm straight, wrap a soft tape around your upper arm about 15cm (6") above the centre of your elbow, then around your forearm about 10cm (4") below it. Match both numbers to the chart. Pro-Tec's chart is in inches; we've converted to cm.

Sizes overlap a little. If you sit in two sizes, go with the one that matches your forearm measurement so the lower strap holds the pad in place. A snug fit is what keeps the cap over your elbow in a fall.

What size Pro-Tec Street Elbow Pads should I get?
Measure around your upper arm about 15cm above the elbow and your forearm about 10cm below it, then match both to the chart. For example, a 27–30cm upper arm and 24–28cm forearm is a Medium. The pad should feel snug and not spin or slide when you bend your arm.

Are hard cap pads better than soft pads?
A hard cap like this one lets you slide out of a fall instead of sticking to the ground, which is how most skaters bail at the park. Soft pads are lower profile but grip the surface. For skating, a hard cap is the usual choice.

Can I wear the Street Elbow Pads for scooters and rollerskating?

Replace them when the cap cracks or wears through, the foam feels flat, or the straps no longer hold. EVA foam compresses over time with hard hits, so a pad that feels thin isn't cushioning like it used to.
