Predator FR7 Certified Helmet | Matte Black
A light, skate-shaped open-face built for speed.
The FR7 Certified is Predator's lightweight open-face helmet for downhill skaters, park skaters and electric riders on EUCs and other personal electric vehicles. This one is Matte Black. Its low-profile, classic skate shape cups the back of the head to stay stable when you ride and when you slam.
The shell is High Impact Ralvek thermoplastic over an EPS foam liner, and it's certified to EN 1078 and the US CPSC bike standard. Four front intake vents, six top vents and two rear exhaust vents link through EPS airflow channels. A short visor cuts glare without blocking your view, and a fit kit with interchangeable pads dials in the fit.

Size Guide
Measure around your head about 2.5cm above your eyebrows, around the widest point at the back. If you're between sizes, Predator recommends the larger size, then using the fit pads to get it snug.
| Size | Head circumference | Inches |
|---|---|---|
| XS/S | 54–56cm | 21.25–22.00" |
| M/L | 57–58cm | 22.40–22.85" |
| XL | 59–61cm | 23.25–24.40" |
Three shell sizes. Every FR7 comes with a fit kit of multi-thickness interchangeable pads.
About Predator
Predator Helmets is a Vancouver, Canada company started by Matt Kelly, a former competitive whitewater kayaker. That background shows in helmets built to stay put and protect when things get rough, from whitewater rivers to downhill runs.
Today Predator makes low-profile and full-coverage helmets for downhill skaters, longboarders, electric skateboard and EUC riders, plus kayakers and paddlers. Riders choose Predator for light, well-vented helmets with a stable, skate-style fit.
FAQs
Can I use the Predator FR7 Certified for skateboarding and bike riding?
Yes. Predator certifies the FR7 Certified to EN 1078 and the US CPSC bicycle standard, both accepted in Australia for bike and e-bike riding. EN 1078 also covers skateboards and roller skates.
What size Predator FR7 should I get?
Measure about 2.5cm above your eyebrows around the widest point: XS/S fits 54–56cm, M/L 57–58cm and XL 59–61cm. Between sizes, Predator says go up and use the fit pads.
When should I replace my helmet?
Replace it after any significant impact, even if you can't see damage. The EPS foam liner crushes to absorb a big hit and doesn't bounce back, so it won't protect you the same way twice. Also replace it if the shell is cracked, the foam is dented or the straps and buckle are worn.
Is the FR7 good for EUC and electric skateboard riding?
Predator designed it for downhill skaters, park skaters and EUC or PEV riders. It's a light, well-vented open-face, so it's great for cruising and carving. If you ride at high speed, think about a full-face that also protects your chin.

Why Buy from Twelve Board Store
Twelve Board Store has been riders selling to riders since 2013. We are not a generic retail chain — we are a specialist board sports retailer built around genuine product knowledge, real rider experience and the kind of after-sales support that only comes from a team that actually uses the gear they sell.
Every brand we stock, we ride. Every recommendation we make comes from real experience — on the mountain, in the park, on the street, and on the road. When you call us, you talk to someone who has been on a snowboard at Hotham last weekend or a skateboard in the carpark this morning. That is the difference between buying from Twelve and buying from a warehouse with a website.
We offer services that no online-only retailer can match. Our in-store workshop handles snowboard waxing and tuning, boot heat moulding, electric skateboard and e-bike repairs and assembly, and warranty support handled in-house rather than shipped offshore to a call centre. If something goes wrong with your gear, we fix it. If your boots don't fit, we sort it. If you ordered the wrong size, we swap it — no questions asked.
Our showroom at 435A Bridge Road Richmond stocks the full range across snowboards, bindings, boots, skateboards, longboards, electric skateboards, e-bikes, outerwear and accessories. We offer free shipping Australia-wide on orders over $89, AfterPay and Zip for flexible payment, and fast dispatch so your gear arrives when you need it.
Over a decade in business. More than 1,000 reviews. The most trusted specialist board store in Melbourne. If you need advice before you buy, call us on 03 9421 2293, visit us in-store, or contact us online — we'll get you sorted.
