Penny Blackout 2.0 Cruiser | 22"
The original plastic cruiser, made to go everywhere you do.
The Blackout 2.0 is the original 22" Penny: quick, nimble and small enough to stash in a locker, under a desk or in a backpack. It's the board that started the plastic cruiser movement, made for getting from A to B with zero fuss. Blackout keeps it stealthy with an all-black look.
It has Penny's signature waffle-top deck for grip, 3" cast aluminium powder-coated trucks, soft 59mm 83A wheels and ABEC 7 stainless steel bearings. The soft wheels roll smoothly over cracks and rough footpaths, and the whole board weighs just 1.9kg.

About Penny
Penny Skateboards was founded in Australia by Ben Mackay, who started experimenting with plastic skateboards in his garage after years of skating. The first Penny 22" launched in 2010 and kicked off a worldwide plastic cruiser movement.
Penny is still known for its waffle-top decks, bright colourways and quality components. Every Penny is built to be fun, easy to carry and ready to cruise. Shop all Penny Skateboards.
FAQs
What is the Penny Blackout 2.0 best for?
Cruising and short trips. The soft 59mm wheels roll smoothly over cracks and rough footpaths, and the compact plastic deck is easy to carry when you're not riding.
Is the 22" Penny the right size for me?
The 22" is the most portable Penny. It suits kids, smaller riders and anyone who wants a board that fits in a backpack. If you want a bit more room to stand and extra stability, step up to the 27" Nickel.
Is a Penny board good for beginners?
Yes. Pennys are light, easy to push and the soft wheels are forgiving on rough ground. Start on smooth, flat surfaces and you'll be cruising quickly.
Cruiser vs skateboard: what's the difference?
A cruiser is built for rolling, not flip tricks. Penny's soft 83A wheels are smoother, quieter and grippier on rough footpaths than a street skateboard's small hard wheels, which makes it ideal for getting around.
Does it come ready to ride?
Yes. It arrives fully assembled with trucks, wheels and bearings installed. Just check the truck tightness suits you and go ride.

Let customers speak for us
Why Buy from Twelve Board Store
Twelve Board Store has been riders selling to riders since 2013. We are not a generic retail chain — we are a specialist board sports retailer built around genuine product knowledge, real rider experience and the kind of after-sales support that only comes from a team that actually uses the gear they sell.
Every brand we stock, we ride. Every recommendation we make comes from real experience — on the mountain, in the park, on the street, and on the road. When you call us, you talk to someone who has been on a snowboard at Hotham last weekend or a skateboard in the carpark this morning. That is the difference between buying from Twelve and buying from a warehouse with a website.
We offer services that no online-only retailer can match. Our in-store workshop handles snowboard waxing and tuning, boot heat moulding, electric skateboard and e-bike repairs and assembly, and warranty support handled in-house rather than shipped offshore to a call centre. If something goes wrong with your gear, we fix it. If your boots don't fit, we sort it. If you ordered the wrong size, we swap it — no questions asked.
Our showroom at 435A Bridge Road Richmond stocks the full range across snowboards, bindings, boots, skateboards, longboards, electric skateboards, e-bikes, outerwear and accessories. We offer free shipping Australia-wide on orders over $89, AfterPay and Zip for flexible payment, and fast dispatch so your gear arrives when you need it.
Over a decade in business. More than 1,000 reviews. The most trusted specialist board store in Melbourne. If you need advice before you buy, call us on 03 9421 2293, visit us in-store, or contact us online — we'll get you sorted.
