Omen Elk Amino Longboard | 41.5"
A long, stable cruiser with a bit of spring.
The Omen Elk Amino is a 41.5" drop-through longboard with an elk graphic by Tai Taeoalii. It's a full-size board for cruising, carving and getting around town, stable enough for first-timers and lively enough to keep experienced riders smiling.
The deck is an 8-ply bamboo hybrid with a cambered profile, giving it a cruisy, springy flex that makes carving and pumping feel lively. The bi-directional drop-through shape rides the same both ways, sits low for easy pushing and has big cut-outs so the wheels stay clear in deep turns. Paris 50° reverse-kingpin trucks and soft Free Spirit 70mm 78a wheels give a smooth, stable roll on a long 30.5" wheelbase.

About Omen Boards
Omen Boards comes out of Seattle, Washington. It grew from the Carbon Matrix, a carbon longboard built by a crew of local Seattle skaters including Nate Blackburn and Trevor Preston. The Matrix took off because it was a carbon board at a fair price, and within about a year the crew had moved into a garage in north Seattle and started building prototypes of the Pike. Early on, Omen pressed its own boards, screen printed its graphics in house and was backed by local skate shops.
Today Omen is best known for art-led longboards and cruisers: nature and animal graphics from artists like Tai Taeoalii and Jay Cronin, on bamboo and maple decks built as ready-to-ride completes. The range covers compact cruisers through to full-size drop-through longboards, and it's a popular pick for riders who want a board that looks as good as it rolls.
FAQs
What is the Omen Elk Amino best for?
Smooth cruising, flowing carves and getting around town. The cambered flex gives it a springy, surfy feel when you carve, while the drop-through mount keeps it low and easy to push.
Is a 41.5" longboard the right size for me?
41.5" is a full-size longboard that suits most teens and adults, and it's especially good for taller riders. The long 30.5" wheelbase makes it very stable and gives the flex room to work. If you want something lighter to carry or quicker to turn, look at a 33"–38" board instead.
Is the Elk Amino good for beginners?
Yes. The long wheelbase and low drop-through stance are very stable, and the soft 70mm wheels forgive rough ground. The flex adds comfort and makes carving feel natural, so it's an easy, fun board to learn on.
Does the Elk Amino flex?
Yes. The Elk Amino has a cambered, cruisy flex: the deck arches up slightly and gives under your weight, adding spring to your carves and soaking up bumps. That makes it comfortable and fun at cruising speeds. If you mainly want to bomb hills or slide hard, a stiffer board like Omen's 9-ply 41.5" double-drop shape is more stable at speed.
Can I commute on the Elk Amino?
Yes. The low deck makes pushing easy over distance, and the flex and 70mm 78a wheels take the sting out of cracks and rough footpaths. Just keep in mind 41.5" is bigger to carry on public transport than a cruiser.
Does it come ready to ride?
Yes. It arrives fully assembled with griptape, trucks, wheels and bearings installed. Just check the truck tightness suits you and go ride.
