Landyachtz Dinghy Classic Fender Skateboard | Midnight Dip — 28.5"
Landyachtz Dinghy Classic Fender in Midnight Dip. 28.5" x 8" 7-ply Canadian maple, custom-moulded wheel flares, 105mm Polar Bear trucks, 74mm Plow King GT wheels, Spaceball bearings. The Dinghy — upgraded for rougher roads and faster riding.
The Dinghy Classic Fender takes the most popular compact cruiser shape in the Landyachtz lineup and makes it capable of handling terrain that would stop a standard Dinghy cold. The custom-moulded wheel flares built into the deck allow for significantly larger 74mm Plow King GT wheels without any risk of wheelbite — wheels that roll through cracks, eat pebbles, and carry speed in a way that smaller cruiser wheels simply can't match. The Midnight Dip graphic uses raised ink printing that you can actually feel underfoot — extra layers of ink that lift the printing surface and give the board a tactile quality that sets it apart from a standard screened graphic.
At 28.5" x 8" with a 14.5" wheelbase, the Fender shares the same compact dimensions as the standard Dinghy Classic — short enough to carry under your arm, manoeuvrable enough to weave through anything the city throws at it. The 7-ply Canadian maple deck is stiff and responsive, with a modified concave that the wheel flares enhance into something more locked-in than the standard Dinghy — your feet stay planted through carves and at higher speeds without feeling pinned. The 105mm Polar Bear trucks are tuned for the tightest turning circle possible without compromising stability, and the Spaceball bearings have built-in washers and spacers so you never lose them — a small detail that makes a genuine difference on a board you're riding every day.
Landyachtz has been skater-owned and operated out of Vancouver, Canada since 1997. They design their own trucks, pour their own urethane wheels through the Hawgs brand, and source only the finest Eastern Canadian maple veneers for their decks. The Dinghy has been the cornerstone of their cruiser lineup for over 20 years — not because it's been marketed well, but because it works. The Fender is what happens when that platform gets pushed further.
Why Ride the Landyachtz Dinghy Classic Fender Midnight Dip?
-
Custom-Moulded Wheel Flares
Built directly into the deck to allow for significantly larger 74mm wheels without wheelbite; the flares also create enhanced foot concave that locks your feet in place through carves, slides, and faster riding. -
74mm Plow King GT Wheels — Hawgs
At 74mm tall and 66.5mm wide, the Plow King GTs are the largest wheels in the Hawgs lineup; they roll through cracks, pebbles, and rough pavement that would stop smaller cruiser wheels, and carry speed effortlessly between pushes. -
7-Ply Canadian Maple Construction — Stiff Flex
Sourced from the finest Eastern Canadian maple veneers; stiff, light, and responsive — built to handle daily use across real terrain without losing pop or shape over time. -
105mm Polar Bear Trucks
Landyachtz's own trucks, designed specifically for the Dinghy platform; agile enough for a super-tight turning circle in the city, stable enough to hold a line at speed — paired with 88a bushings for the right balance of turn and stability. -
Raised Ink Midnight Dip Graphic
Extra layers of ink raise the printing surface to create a tactile experience you can feel underfoot; not just something to look at — a finish that adds a physical dimension to the graphic most boards don't bother with. -
Spaceball Bearings
Built-in washers and spacers mean you can never lose them; bearings are always correctly mated, which eliminates bearing-induced chatter and keeps the roll smooth and consistent from the first push to the thousandth. -
Compact Dinghy Shape at 28.5" x 8"
Short enough to carry under your arm, stash in a bag, or take on the bus; the same compact dimensions as the Dinghy Classic with the added capability of larger wheels and enhanced concave from the fender design. -
Wheel Wells Sanded In
Additional wheel clearance sanded directly into the deck expands wheel size compatibility and works with the moulded flares to ensure a clean, rattle-free ride regardless of what size wheels you run.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What is the difference between a longboard and a cruiser skateboard?
A: A longboard is built for stability — longer distances, sweeping carves, and a planted ride. A cruiser is more compact and portable, with a kicktail for navigating urban terrain and tighter spaces. The choice comes down to how much board you want underfoot and where you're taking it. Not sure? Call us on 03 9421 2293 and we'll sort it out.
Q: What size should I choose?
A: Shorter boards are easier to carry and more manoeuvrable. Longer boards are usually wider, offering more stability and a surf-style feel underfoot. Go shorter for portability, longer for a more flowing and planted ride. Give us a call on 03 9421 2293 and we'll point you in the right direction.
