Lander Pavement Rodeo Complete | 30.0"
Street-grey cruiser with a holey twist.
The Lander Rodeo in Pavement is a 30" full-size cruiser with Lander's perforated, recycled nylon deck in a grey, concrete-inspired colourway. It's a do-it-all board for cruising the street, short commutes and skatepark laps, suited to teens and adults who want something durable and different.
The deck is injection moulded from recycled nylon, much of it from old fishing nets, reinforced with glass fibre and ribbed underneath so it stays rigid and doesn't sag. It's waterproof, and the raised rings around every hole act as built-in grip, so there's no griptape to wear out or peel. The diagonal hole pattern lets the deck twist slightly for quick, carvy cuts, and Paris 129mm Street trucks with Lander 61mm 85a wheels give a fast, lively roll.

About Lander Skateboards
Lander Skateboards started in Los Angeles in 2015, when Ryan Anderson, founder of LA design studio RAD Furniture, welded a skateboard out of scrap perforated steel just for fun. People loved the holey look, so Anderson, RAD partner Russell Hill and a crew of designers and skaters, including former pro DJ Chavez of LA skate shop Kingswell, turned it into a real board. The Beta model launched in 2022, Paris Trucks came on as manufacturing and distribution partner, and the project earned a Notable in the 2023 Core77 Design Awards.
Today every Lander deck is injection moulded from recycled nylon, much of it from old commercial fishing nets, reinforced with long-strand glass fibre. The perforated hole pattern isn't just for looks: raised rings around each hole give built-in traction with no griptape, and the diagonal pattern lets the deck twist slightly for quick, carvy cuts. The Rio and Rodeo were co-designed with former pro skaters, and riders choose them for a waterproof, rigid, low-waste cruiser that rides like nothing else.
FAQs
What is the Lander Rodeo best for?
Cruising the street, getting around town and mellow skatepark laps. It's Lander's full-size cruiser, with a kicktail for kerbs and a fast 85a wheel that suits smooth ground and parks.
Is a 30" cruiser the right size for me?
30" x 8" suits most teens and adults with a regular stance, and it feels close to a standard skateboard underfoot. If you want something smaller to carry everywhere, the 24.5" Lander Rio is the pocket option. For long, stable cruising or bigger riders wanting more room, look at a 33"+ cruiser or longboard.
Is the Rodeo good for beginners?
Yes, for learning to push, turn and cruise. The 14.5" wheelbase is fairly short, so it's quick and twitchy compared to a longboard, and the 85a wheels are firmer than a typical soft cruiser wheel. Brand-new riders who want maximum stability may find a longer board easier.
Cruiser vs skateboard: what's the difference?
A cruiser is built for getting around rather than flip tricks. The Rodeo has a cruiser shape with lifted wheel wells and softer, bigger 61mm wheels than a street skateboard, so it rolls further and smoother over rough ground. A street skateboard uses small, hard wheels and a double-kick deck for tricks.
Can I commute on the Rodeo?
Yes, for short to medium trips. It's light, compact and waterproof, so a wet ride won't hurt the deck. The 85a wheels are on the firmer side, so they roll fast on smooth footpaths but you'll feel rough or coarse surfaces more than on a softer 78a wheel.
Does it come ready to ride?
Yes. It arrives fully assembled with Paris trucks, wheels and bearings installed, and the grip is built into the deck, so there's no griptape to apply. Just check the truck tightness suits you and go ride.
