K2 Phase Pro MIPS Helmet | Black
Clean hardshell style, adjustable vents and MIPS.
The K2 Phase Pro MIPS is a clean, understated hardshell helmet with adjustable vents, a dial fit and a MIPS liner. It suits riders who want a comfortable all-mountain lid with under-the-radar styling and rotational protection. This one comes in Black.
Lightweight EPS foam is bonded to a durable injection-moulded ABS shell. MIPS adds a low-friction layer that lets the helmet slide slightly relative to your head, to help reduce rotational forces in angled impacts. Active Matrix vents open and close at the flick of a switch, the K2Dialed three-point fit adjusts with a dial, and the washable full wrap liner wicks moisture.

Size Guide
Wrap a soft tape around your head about 2cm above your eyebrows, over the widest point and just above your ears. If you're between sizes, K2's dial fit lets you snug down a larger size, but the helmet should sit level and not move when you shake your head. Always try it with your goggles on.
| Size | Head circumference | Inches |
|---|---|---|
| S | 51–55cm | 20 1/2"–21 5/8" |
| M | 55–59cm | 22"–23 1/8" |
| L/XL | 59–62cm | 23 1/2"–24 3/8" |
The K2Dialed dial fine-tunes the fit within each size.
About K2
K2 started on Vashon Island, Washington, in the early 1960s, when Bill Kirschner began building fibreglass skis that were lighter and livelier than the wood and metal skis of the day. K2 jumped into snowboarding in the late 1980s and went on to launch the Clicker step-in binding in the 90s.
Today K2 builds snowboards, boots, bindings and helmets out of Seattle. Its helmets are known for the dial-adjust K2Dialed fit system, Active Matrix vents and, on selected models, dual certification for both snow and bike riding. Riders choose K2 for gear that's dialled, comfortable and made to last a whole season.
FAQs
What certifications does the K2 Phase Pro MIPS have?
K2 lists the K2 Phase Pro MIPS as Snow Certified to ASTM F2040 (US) and EN 1077 (Europe). It's built for snowboarding and skiing; it isn't a bike helmet.
What size K2 Phase Pro MIPS should I get?
Measure about 2cm above your eyebrows and match it to K2's chart: S 51–55cm, M 55–59cm, L/XL 59–62cm. The dial covers small differences; between sizes, try both with your goggles on.
When should I replace my helmet?
Replace it after any significant impact, even if you can't see damage. The EPS foam inside is designed to crush once to absorb a hit, so a helmet that has taken a big crash may not protect you the same way again. Also replace it if the shell is cracked, the foam is dented or the strap or buckle is damaged.
What does MIPS do in the Phase Pro MIPS?
MIPS is a low-friction layer that lets the helmet slide slightly relative to your head in an angled impact. It's designed to help reduce rotational forces reaching your head.
How do the Active Matrix vents work?
A switch on the helmet opens and closes the vents, so you can let heat out on warm days and seal up when it's cold and windy.

Let customers speak for us
Why Buy from Twelve Board Store
Twelve Board Store has been riders selling to riders since 2013. We are not a generic retail chain — we are a specialist board sports retailer built around genuine product knowledge, real rider experience and the kind of after-sales support that only comes from a team that actually uses the gear they sell.
Every brand we stock, we ride. Every recommendation we make comes from real experience — on the mountain, in the park, on the street, and on the road. When you call us, you talk to someone who has been on a snowboard at Hotham last weekend or a skateboard in the carpark this morning. That is the difference between buying from Twelve and buying from a warehouse with a website.
We offer services that no online-only retailer can match. Our in-store workshop handles snowboard waxing and tuning, boot heat moulding, electric skateboard and e-bike repairs and assembly, and warranty support handled in-house rather than shipped offshore to a call centre. If something goes wrong with your gear, we fix it. If your boots don't fit, we sort it. If you ordered the wrong size, we swap it — no questions asked.
Our showroom at 435A Bridge Road Richmond stocks the full range across snowboards, bindings, boots, skateboards, longboards, electric skateboards, e-bikes, outerwear and accessories. We offer free shipping Australia-wide on orders over $89, AfterPay and Zip for flexible payment, and fast dispatch so your gear arrives when you need it.
Over a decade in business. More than 1,000 reviews. The most trusted specialist board store in Melbourne. If you need advice before you buy, call us on 03 9421 2293, visit us in-store, or contact us online — we'll get you sorted.
