K2 Diversion Helmet | Black/Red (No Box)
K2's go-to hybrid lid, certified for snow and bike.
The K2 Diversion is K2's go-to hybrid helmet: low profile, dial-adjust fit and adjustable vents, so you forget you're wearing it. It's made for riders who do it all, from tree runs to fast groomers, and it's also bike certified so it can pull double duty off the hill. This one comes in Black/Red and is sold without its original box.
Hybrid construction pairs a light in-mold base with a tougher hardshell upper. The 360° K2Dialed fit system spreads pressure evenly around your head and tightens with a twist of the dial, Dual Active Matrix venting lets you open and close vents on the fly, and the Tech Form Full Wrap liner has removable ear pads and neck roll for warmer or cooler days.

Size Guide
Wrap a soft tape around your head about 2cm above your eyebrows, over the widest point and just above your ears. If you're between sizes, K2's dial fit lets you snug down a larger size, but the helmet should sit level and not move when you shake your head. Always try it with your goggles on.
| Size | Head circumference | Inches |
|---|---|---|
| S | 51–55cm | 20 1/2"–21 5/8" |
| M | 55–59cm | 22"–23 1/8" |
| L/XL | 59–62cm | 23 1/2"–24 3/8" |
The 360° K2Dialed dial fine-tunes the fit within each size.
About K2
K2 started on Vashon Island, Washington, in the early 1960s, when Bill Kirschner began building fibreglass skis that were lighter and livelier than the wood and metal skis of the day. K2 jumped into snowboarding in the late 1980s and went on to launch the Clicker step-in binding in the 90s.
Today K2 builds snowboards, boots, bindings and helmets out of Seattle. Its helmets are known for the dial-adjust K2Dialed fit system, Active Matrix vents and, on selected models, dual certification for both snow and bike riding. Riders choose K2 for gear that's dialled, comfortable and made to last a whole season.
FAQs
Can I use the K2 Diversion for bike riding?
Yes. K2 certifies the K2 Diversion for snow (ASTM F2040 and EN 1077) and for cycling (US CPSC, which is accepted in Australia for bike helmets). So you can ride it on the mountain and on your bike or e-bike. Check the certification label inside the helmet if you're unsure.
What size K2 Diversion should I get?
Measure about 2cm above your eyebrows and match it to K2's chart: S 51–55cm, M 55–59cm, L/XL 59–62cm. The 360° K2Dialed dial takes up small differences; between sizes, try both and pick the one that sits level without pressure points.
When should I replace my helmet?
Replace it after any significant impact, even if you can't see damage. The EPS foam inside is designed to crush once to absorb a hit, so a helmet that has taken a big crash may not protect you the same way again. Also replace it if the shell is cracked, the foam is dented or the strap or buckle is damaged.
Can I take the ear pads out of the Diversion?
Yes. The ear pads and neck roll on the Tech Form liner are removable, so you can strip them out for warm spring days or bike riding and keep the fit system in place.
Does the K2 Diversion have audio?
Yes. It comes with K2's Baseline Audio System, a pre-installed low-profile speaker kit that connects to your phone for music and calls.

Let customers speak for us
Why Buy from Twelve Board Store
Twelve Board Store has been riders selling to riders since 2013. We are not a generic retail chain — we are a specialist board sports retailer built around genuine product knowledge, real rider experience and the kind of after-sales support that only comes from a team that actually uses the gear they sell.
Every brand we stock, we ride. Every recommendation we make comes from real experience — on the mountain, in the park, on the street, and on the road. When you call us, you talk to someone who has been on a snowboard at Hotham last weekend or a skateboard in the carpark this morning. That is the difference between buying from Twelve and buying from a warehouse with a website.
We offer services that no online-only retailer can match. Our in-store workshop handles snowboard waxing and tuning, boot heat moulding, electric skateboard and e-bike repairs and assembly, and warranty support handled in-house rather than shipped offshore to a call centre. If something goes wrong with your gear, we fix it. If your boots don't fit, we sort it. If you ordered the wrong size, we swap it — no questions asked.
Our showroom at 435A Bridge Road Richmond stocks the full range across snowboards, bindings, boots, skateboards, longboards, electric skateboards, e-bikes, outerwear and accessories. We offer free shipping Australia-wide on orders over $89, AfterPay and Zip for flexible payment, and fast dispatch so your gear arrives when you need it.
Over a decade in business. More than 1,000 reviews. The most trusted specialist board store in Melbourne. If you need advice before you buy, call us on 03 9421 2293, visit us in-store, or contact us online — we'll get you sorted.
