Independent Genuine Parts Standard Cylinder Cushions are replacement bushings made to the same spec as the ones in Indy trucks. This super hard 96a set suits heavy skaters and anyone who wants very tight trucks.
They're poured from Indy's ultra-high rebound urethane for a fast response and less break-in time. These are straight-sided cylinders, so they give a supportive, stable turn with a strong return to centre. The set does both trucks and includes washers.

About Independent
Independent Truck Company was founded in 1978 by Richard Novak and Jay Shuirman, the pair behind Santa Cruz Skateboards, together with Fausto Vitello and Eric Swenson, whose San Francisco company Ermico Enterprises manufactured the trucks. The first Indys came out that year, and the brand is still based in Santa Cruz, California.
Today Independent is the truck most skaters picture when they think of a skateboard truck. It is known for a stable, predictable turn, a hanger that grinds smooth and a lifetime guarantee under the motto Built to Grind. From the classic Stage 11 to the lower Mid and the featherweight Forged Titanium, there is an Indy for street, park, bowl and old-school shapes, and they all feel familiar the moment you step on.

Who should run 96a cushions?
Super Hard 96a suits heavy skaters and anyone who wants very tight trucks. As a rough guide: under about 60kg, go soft (around 81a to 88a); 60 to 85kg, medium (around 90a to 92a); over 85kg or if you like tight, stable trucks, go hard (94a and up).
Conical or cylinder, what's the difference?
Conical cushions taper, so there's less urethane to push against and the truck turns more freely. Cylinders are full-bodied and feel more stable. Choose conical for a looser feel or cylinder for control.
Will they fit my trucks?
Yes, they're made for Independent trucks and fit most other street trucks, including Venture and Thunder.
How many are in a set?
Enough for both trucks, with washers. Swap them in, set your kingpin nut and skate.
