Is a 31" cruiser the right size for me?

Is the Hera good for beginners?
Yes. The wide deck is easy to stand on and the Tensor trucks are smooth and predictable. The 83a wheels are a touch firmer than the softest cruiser wheels, so they feel more responsive in a bowl but transmit a little more road buzz on rough footpaths.

Cruiser vs skateboard: what's the difference?
A cruiser has bigger, softer wheels and a wider shaped deck made for rolling around and carving, while a standard skateboard runs small, hard wheels on a narrower popsicle deck built for street and park tricks. The Hera sits in between: its old school shape and kicks handle pools and kick turns, while the 61mm wheels make it a comfortable street cruiser.

Can I commute on the Hera?
Yes, for short trips around the neighbourhood, to the beach or the shops. The 61mm wheels roll over cracks and the wide deck is comfortable. The 83a wheels are slightly firmer than typical cruiser wheels and the short wheelbase makes it turny, so for long daily commutes a longer board with softer wheels is smoother.
