Globe Sun City Cruiser Reishi | 30"
A short swallowtail with an underwater bloom.
The Globe Sun City is a short, surf-inspired swallowtail cruiser that packs a wide 9" platform into a 30" deck. It's quick and nimble, but there's enough room underfoot to feel steady and carve like a surfboard. The Reishi graphic is from Globe's hyper-vibrant underwater bloom series, with bright neon art on the bottom. It suits teens and adults who want a compact, surfy board for getting around.
The deck is Resin-7 hard rock maple with a very mellow concave and a kicktail. It rolls on 5.25" Tensor alloy trucks and soft 62mm 78a Globe Conical Cruiser wheels in clear coloured urethane. Clear broadcast grip lets the top finish show. With an 18.5" wheelbase, it turns tight and quick but holds a line through a carve.

About Globe
Globe is a Melbourne skate brand through and through. Brothers Peter, Stephen and Matt Hill grew up skating in Melbourne, and in 1985 they started importing skateboards out of Fitzroy, a business that became Hardcore Enterprises. The Globe brand itself was born in 1994, starting with skate shoes. The company listed on the Australian Securities Exchange in 2001, moved into its Port Melbourne headquarters, and launched its own line of skateboards, cruisers and longboards in 2010.
Today Globe is still led by the Hill family, with Matt Hill as CEO, and still based in Port Melbourne. It makes its decks and trucks in its own factory. Its cruisers and longboards are known for epoxy-pressed Resin-7 and Resin-8 maple decks, soft Globe cruiser wheels and bold, art-led graphics, all set up as ready-to-ride completes. From the pocket-sized Blazer to the 40" Geminon Rock, it's a range built for real streets and everyday riders.
FAQs
What is the Globe Sun City best for?
Surfy carving and short trips around town. The swallowtail shape and 18.5" wheelbase make it nimble, while the 9" width keeps it steady. It's great for beach paths, the shops or the station, but it's not a trick board.
Is a 30" cruiser the right size for me?
It suits most teens and adults. The 9" width gives decent room for bigger feet on a board that's still easy to carry. For a smaller, lighter option try the 26" Blazer; for a wider, chunkier ride, the 30" Stubby (10" wide); for more stability, the 36" Blazer XL.
Is the Sun City good for beginners?
Yes. The wide deck and mellow concave feel stable, and the soft 78a wheels smooth out rough ground. It turns quickly, so take it easy at first until you get used to how responsive it is.
Cruiser vs skateboard: what's the difference?
A cruiser like the Sun City is built for rolling around: soft 62mm wheels that grip and absorb cracks, and a surf-inspired shape for carving. A standard skateboard has small, hard wheels and a symmetrical popsicle deck for tricks and skateparks, which feel rough on footpaths.
Can I commute on the Sun City?
Yes, for short to medium trips. The soft 62mm 78a wheels handle cracked footpaths and coarse bitumen comfortably, and it's light enough to carry on a tram or bus. For long daily distances, a longboard with bigger wheels will roll further per push.
Does it come ready to ride?
Yes. It arrives fully assembled with griptape, trucks, wheels and bearings installed. Just check the truck tightness suits you and go ride.
