Girl OG Lil Dre Skateboard Deck | 8.5"
93 Til Infinity. First Pro Board.
This is Lil Dre's first pro model for Girl — and Girl gave it the OG treatment, running the graphic off the "93 Til" lineage that traces back to the brand's founding year. A first pro board is the milestone every skater on a team is working toward, and Girl marking Dre's with their most recognisable visual language says everything about how they rate him.
The shape is where this one gets interesting. It's Girl's G053 — developed by Griffin Gass as the 8.5" version of the G030 — and it isn't a plain popsicle. Full round nose, pronounced hips through the middle, and a round blunted tail. The hips give you a genuine reference point underfoot so you can feel where you are on the board without looking, and the blunted tail sits a fraction flatter to the ground, which changes how the pop comes off. It's a shape with an opinion, and riders who get on with it tend to stay on it.
At 8.5" x 32" with a 14.4375" wheelbase, this is a stable, planted setup aimed at bigger street, park and transition. Traditional 7-ply maple construction with an assorted top stain, so the veneer colour varies board to board.
Girl Skateboards was founded in 1993 by Mike Carroll, Rick Howard and Spike Jonze, and has spent three decades near the centre of skateboarding — a team that's run from Koston and McCrank through to Pacheco, Geering and Lil Dre, and a video catalogue that shaped how a couple of generations of skaters saw the sport.
Why Ride the Girl OG Lil Dre?
• Lil Dre's First Pro Model
A debut pro board carrying Girl's OG graphic treatment — the brand's most recognisable identity on a rider's first board.
• G053 Shape
Developed by Griffin Gass as the 8.5" version of the G030. Full round nose, full hips and a round blunted tail — a distinctly shaped platform rather than a standard popsicle.
• Full Hips
Pronounced hips through the middle of the board give you a tactile reference for foot placement, so you can feel where you're standing without looking down.
• Round Blunted Tail
A blunter, flatter tail profile that changes how the board pops and gives a different feel on tail slides and pivots to a standard pointed popsicle.
• 8.5" x 32" with 14.4375" Wheelbase
A long, stable platform built for bigger street terrain, park and transition — and a natural fit for taller riders or bigger feet.
• Traditional 7-Ply Maple
Proven construction with proper pop and a consistent feel. No gimmicks, no composite layers you're paying extra for.
• Assorted Top Stain
Each deck comes with a randomly stained top veneer, so no two are quite the same.
• Free Jessup Grip
Every deck we sell comes with free Jessup griptape — the industry standard for consistent grit and reliable adhesion.

What width is right for me?
As a general guide: 7.5"–7.875" suits smaller riders or those focused on technical street skating. 8.0"–8.25" is the most popular all-round street and park size. 8.25"–8.5" suits riders who prefer a slightly bigger platform for stability. 8.5" and above works well for transition, bowls, and larger riders. Shoe size plays a role too — bigger feet generally prefer wider decks. Not sure? Call us on 03 9421 2293 or come into the Richmond store and we'll sort it out.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: How does a shaped deck like the G053 differ from a standard popsicle?
A: A standard popsicle has a symmetrical, straight-sided outline. The G053 has full hips — the sides bulge out through the middle — plus a rounder nose and a blunted tail. In practice you get more foot room where you stand, a tactile edge you can feel through your shoe for foot placement, and a slightly different pop off the flatter tail. It's not better or worse than a popsicle, it's a preference, and it suits riders skating bigger terrain more than technical flat ground. If you've only ridden straight popsicles, expect it to feel different for the first session or two.
Q: Will my deck look exactly like the photo?
A: The graphic will, but the top veneer won't. Girl runs an assorted top stain, so the wood colour on the top of your deck is random and will differ from the product photo and from other decks in the same run. It's a deliberate part of the series, not a fault.

Why Buy from Twelve Board Store
Twelve Board Store has been riders selling to riders since 2013. We are not a generic retail chain — we are a specialist board sports retailer built around genuine product knowledge, real rider experience and the kind of after-sales support that only comes from a team that actually uses the gear they sell.
Every brand we stock, we ride. Every recommendation we make comes from real experience — on the mountain, in the park, on the street, and on the road. When you call us, you talk to someone who has been on a snowboard at Hotham last weekend or a skateboard in the carpark this morning. That is the difference between buying from Twelve and buying from a warehouse with a website.
We offer services that no online-only retailer can match. Our in-store workshop handles snowboard waxing and tuning, boot heat moulding, electric skateboard and e-bike repairs and assembly, and warranty support handled in-house rather than shipped offshore to a call centre. If something goes wrong with your gear, we fix it. If your boots don't fit, we sort it. If you ordered the wrong size, we swap it — no questions asked.
Our showroom at 435A Bridge Road Richmond stocks the full range across snowboards, bindings, boots, skateboards, longboards, electric skateboards, e-bikes, outerwear and accessories. We offer free shipping Australia-wide on orders over $89, AfterPay and Zip for flexible payment, and fast dispatch so your gear arrives when you need it.
Over a decade in business. More than 1,000 reviews. The most trusted specialist board store in Melbourne. If you need advice before you buy, call us on 03 9421 2293, visit us in-store, or contact us online — we'll get you sorted.
